Tweeting about aid
/ accountability / social justice. Staying sane thanks to the movements outside of the sector. Writing, researching, raising humans.
The Int. day of #Neutrality seems as good a day as any to share this uncensored piece on the complicity of the aid sector, the myth of neutrality & the comparison between the sector & the solidarity space.
3× aid publisher rejections, no idea why 🫣

A year has passed since the detention of my father,
In this white coat, he walked alone amidst death, destruction, and in front of tanks—not because he was fearless, but because his oath and his humanity were greater than any fear. He refused to abandon the children and the wounded at Hospital , and for that, he was detained.
This image is a testament to the courage of the man who was the last line of defense for life, and it is the very same scene that ended with his unjust arrest.
A full year of injustice has passed. Today, we ask for nothing but his freedom. Please share his story to keep his voice alive.
@UNReliefChief Literally how do you do the mental gymnastics to consider US leadership essential. The primary armer of the genocide. And then wonder why people are not on the streets protesting for aid. THIS is why.
Wonder if all the guys dismissing Polanski's remarks would be quite as quick to do so if he had formerly been in the business of penis growth hypnotism? Legit doubts exist outside of tabloids, and resurface through open racism and the undermining of care. This isn't socialism.
Starmer, Sunak, Lammy, Cameron, Healey, Shapps
They all need to be indicted by ICC for ordering British participation in the Gaza genocide
We will not stop until it happens. The charge sheet is coming together👇
some time ago, a friend of mine told me she thought Israel, through the multitude of their technology tentacles, were going to try to scrub the internet as much as possible of evidence of their crimes. at the time I thought that might be an exaggeration of their capacity, but I'm revisiting that conversation today as I realized that @Meta not only removed Saleh alJafarawi's primary instagram account, with over 4.5 million followers, but they've somehow scrubbed the archives of his account.
here's a link to his removed account: https://t.co/47opHLn43D
here, you can see the WayBackMachine (https://t.co/rqkhDQosL2) crawled his page several times in 2025, the last being in July. But if you click any of the crawl links, they've been removed.

Anyone seen any mention of the (undisputed) mass hannibal directive deployed on Oct 7th in UN and INGO statements? Acknowledging even briefly, the unknown no. Of casualties caused by Israel?
At this point I can no longer tell the difference between aid comms and legacy media.
Two years ago today, Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups launched an abhorrent large-scale terror attack on Israel. On this day, let us remember all those who were killed and suffered horrific violence.
The horror of that dark day will be forever seared in the memories of us all. Two years later, hostages remain captive in Gaza in deplorable conditions.
I have said it time and again, and I am repeating it today with even greater urgency:
Release the hostages, unconditionally & immediately.
End the suffering for all. This is a humanitarian catastrophe on a scale that defies comprehension.
Put an end to the hostilities in Gaza, Israel & the region now.
Stop making civilians pay with their lives & their futures.
After two years of trauma, we must choose hope. Now.
The recent proposa @POTUS presents an opportunity that must be seized to bring this tragic conflict to an end.
A permanent ceasefire and a credible political process are essential to prevent further bloodshed & pave the way for peace.
The @UN remains unwavering in its commitment to support peace.
On this solemn anniversary, let us honour the memory of all the victims by working for the only path forward: a just & lasting peace, in which Israelis, Palestinians & all the peoples of the region live side by side in security, dignity and mutual respect.
“The world sees through their desperate lies.
We have truth, morale, international law, love, history, world solidarity, as well as basic fucking common sense on our side. The war criminals have hate, lies & weapons.
Justice will prevail. Free Palestine”
As Germany's Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock oversaw the authorization of arms transfers to Israel worth €485,103,796 from October 2023 to May 2025.
To mark Sunday’s #PeaceDay, @unstamps has just released a new, limited edition stamp.
The “Dove of Peace” is a collective appeal for hope and unity, and a symbol of the need for peace across the world.

Amnesty were a year late calling genocide. Yet, credit deserved for this timely and useful cooperation.
Likewise greenpeace statement screens that were doing the rounds at the same time as the demo. This is what collab and lending credibility and resource can look like.
UPDATE: The Met Police said 890 arrests were made. 857 arrests were for showing support for Palestine Action, while 33 were arrested for other offences, including 17 for assaults on police officers.
Amnesty International deployed observers to the protest, and police claims that the protest turned violent are a misrepresentation. Our observers witnessed the Defend Our Juries protest being entirely peaceful.
Some supporters of the protest shouted insults at the police and a small number of them attempted to prevent the police from carrying arrestees away. This did not appear to be a coordinated effort.
Police officers, on a number of occasions, were aggressive towards supporters of the protest. This included violently shoving people away and pulling out batons to make space whilst protesters were arrested and hauled into police vans.
The scenes yesterday were a shocking demonstration of how the UK's overly broad terrorism laws are being used to suppress free speech.
The UN is turning 80 at a time the world has been watching a live streamed genocide, they've failed to stop, for 2 years straight.
Posts like this is giving senile.
Amid the profound challenges facing our world today, the UN continues working to advance peace, dignity & equality for all on a healthy planet.
As we mark our 80th anniversary, see how the UN is making a difference.

Emergency, an Italian NGO that provides medical support in conflict zones, has joined the Gaza Flotilla. This is the first large NGO to participate in the mission. More of this!
This is my will and my final message. If these words reach you, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice. First, peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings.
Allah knows I gave every effort and all my strength to be a support and a voice for my people, ever since I opened my eyes to life in the alleys and streets of the Jabalia refugee camp. My hope was that Allah would extend my life so I could return with my family and loved ones to our original town of occupied Asqalan (Al-Majdal). But Allah’s will came first, and His decree is final. I have lived through pain in all its details, tasted suffering and loss many times, yet I never once hesitated to convey the truth as it is, without distortion or falsification—so that Allah may bear witness against those who stayed silent, those who accepted our killing, those who choked our breath, and whose hearts were unmoved by the scattered remains of our children and women, doing nothing to stop the massacre that our people have faced for more than a year and a half.
I entrust you with Palestine—the jewel in the crown of the Muslim world, the heartbeat of every free person in this world. I entrust you with its people, with its wronged and innocent children who never had the time to dream or live in safety and peace. Their pure bodies were crushed under thousands of tons of Israeli bombs and missiles, torn apart and scattered across the walls.
I urge you not to let chains silence you, nor borders restrain you. Be bridges toward the liberation of the land and its people, until the sun of dignity and freedom rises over our stolen homeland. I entrust you to take care of my family. I entrust you with my beloved daughter Sham, the light of my eyes, whom I never got the chance to watch grow up as I had dreamed.
I entrust you with my dear son Salah, whom I had wished to support and accompany through life until he grew strong enough to carry my burden and continue the mission.
I entrust you with my beloved mother, whose blessed prayers brought me to where I am, whose supplications were my fortress and whose light guided my path. I pray that Allah grants her strength and rewards her on my behalf with the best of rewards.
I also entrust you with my lifelong companion, my beloved wife, Umm Salah (Bayan), from whom the war separated me for many long days and months. Yet she remained faithful to our bond, steadfast as the trunk of an olive tree that does not bend—patient, trusting in Allah, and carrying the responsibility in my absence with all her strength and faith.
I urge you to stand by them, to be their support after Allah Almighty. If I die, I die steadfast upon my principles. I testify before Allah that I am content with His decree, certain of meeting Him, and assured that what is with Allah is better and everlasting.
O Allah, accept me among the martyrs, forgive my past and future sins, and make my blood a light that illuminates the path of freedom for my people and my family. Forgive me if I have fallen short, and pray for me with mercy, for I kept my promise and never changed or betrayed it.
Do not forget Gaza… And do not forget me in your sincere prayers for forgiveness and acceptance.

This is what our beloved Anas requested to be published upon his martyrdom.
International institutions were not designed to ensure universal rights. They were designed to maintain the core-periphery hierarchies of the world system. If we want universal rights we have to create new institutions through anti-imperialist and anti-racist struggle.
