Got something very unusual from Amazon this morning.
A Book!!!!
I don't remember the last time I got an actual dead tree from Amazon!
Also, it's lovely, and theirs pictures on nearly every page, which I approve of :)
Guess I'm chief wonker @TinamousHQ now
We’re designing a crowdsourced #bnestorm tracker that uses @brisbanecityqld’s free LoRaWAN network to share rain and hail measurements. First raindrops landed just now, about 4mm at Sumner. Join us for Sunday (mad) Science Sunday to contribute. https://t.co/oZoRmqMP92
The great thing about when my internet goes down, or @particle have an issue their side, my flat turns into some kind of discotheque full of flashing LEDs. Perhaps I should organise my Argons and Photons to look a bit more like Christmas lights...
The @cammakespace owner elves have been busy giving the @Ultimaker's their festive tune-up ready for the printing of tree ornaments and last minute emergency 3D printed presents...
Looks like the AWS issues are mostly resolved, we're processing the backlog of #Particle Cloud messages now. Hopefully back to normal shortly. #IoT#AWSOutage
@Hacksterio Maybe Jesse could help out the self-driving race cars...
I know which of the mower and race car would win the race!

(Sound on for full fun!)
It's kind of funny as Tinamous was mostly switched over to use Kinesis to prevent the volume of sensor data filling RabbitMQ and causing outages when a single service went down.
And now Kinesis is causing RabbitMQ to fill up and risking an outage.
I just can't win!
Just resizing some @TinamousHQ messaging servers so they don't run out of ram during the #AWS#Kinesis outage as a fun aspect of using a RabbitMQ cluster is if it runs out for ram it blocks, and then @TinamousHQ falls over in a big heap.
@TinamousHQ Not just #Kinesis on the #AWS side of things either, CloudWatch, CloudWatchEvents and Cognito all having a bad day by the looks of things.
Event the AWS Support Center is having errors!
We're seeing issues with #AWS#Kinesis at present causing sensor measurements ingress and processing issues affecting most services (MQTT, API, TTN, Sigfox, Particle Cloud etc).
Sadly it's out of our hands at this time, we're keeping an eye on the situation.
Have you ever seen an excited #Tinamous? This is what one looks like!

If anyone wants a UK COVID Alert Level MQTT feed, it’s at:

and …/colour if you want the RGB value :)
It’s manually set by me, so no guarantees of anything whatsoever ;)
