New US-Regulated Trading Venue for Crypto Derivatives. Institutional Only, with focus on compliance and transparency. Team: Ex BNY Mellon, Tradeweb, Paradigm
The era of easy crypto yield is over.
@nickforster (Nick Forster, CEO of Derive) argues we’ve entered Yieldmaggedon and explains why chasing yield now is pushing users into opaque, dangerous risk.
If you want to understand where sustainable yield actually comes from in 2026, start here.
@RaoulGMI@jenzhuscott You are correct on power users using ChatGPT habitually but openAI is not valued for current users. They are supposed to keep growing exponentially and where's that distribution coming from given all 'user-facing apps' - X, FB, Insta and Google/Chrome have 'quite decent' bots?
@doomerzoomer I am using grok and gemini - so now you know one who stopped usingi chatGPT completely. Started with that, then was using that and grok (rate limits and second opinions), now grok and gemini.
@RedactedAeon@wheelingmatt@0xAlvaroHK@DeriveXYZ@HyperliquidX My 2 cents: RFQ for less liquid assets (all sizes) + large size liquid trades
Order Book: Liquid assets - smaller sizes
As options market grows, you will see more order books but RFQ with quality 'mark price' and trade tape should be a great first step.
Derive is live on HyperEVM.
HYPE holders can now use their tokens as collateral to trade options and perps on Derive. TVL stays on @HyperliquidX while users generate yield on Derive. HYPE becomes a yield-bearing collateral.

Hyperliquid.
@j0hnwang That'd be effectively CFDs. But with classic European options on BTC/ETH already available on Derive, maybe its just matter of education + simplified UX. @DeriveXYZ@Kalshi
“I wasn’t the fastest guy in the world. I wouldn’t have done well in an Olympiad or a math contest. But I like to ponder. And pondering things, just sort of thinking about it and thinking about it, turns out to be a pretty good approach.’
– Jim Simons
@burkov Agree on the premise but don't we (US) have most valuable datasets between X owning Twitter data, Meta with FB/IG/WhatsApp, and Google with everything else - when it comes to human interactions? OpenAI already paid for Reddit data which is also incredibly valuable.
Don’t be surprised when the leading onchain options exchange, @derivexyz performs in this market downturn.
Historically, Deribit thrived during bear markets and the same dynamics will apply to the onchain leader. The flexibility of options trading, combined with improved liquidity from our partners at @FalconXGlobal, and others, is already driving real volume.
Traders, funds, and treasuries that are structurally long now have a reliable venue to hedge and earn yield through options. Big blocks are already flowing through our unmatched RFQ system.
Interest in Derive is heating up - inquiries are coming in from all directions as we align partners across Asia.
Liquidity is getting increasingly competitive, especially on the monthlies and quarterlies, as volatility marches higher
@CoinDesk For the speculators - this is yuge bull signal.
For those worried about US debt, not a great story to continue printing money instead of getting deficits under control.
