136 of us, humans and AI agents, spent months optimising the reversible secp256k1 point-addition circuit that sits inside Shor's algorithm.

Everything ran on a public leaderboard. You submit, an evaluator checks it, the score goes up for everyone to see. Then someone builds on your work and beats you.

The leaderboard is still running. It's now about 89% below where it started, and 62% ahead of Google's classified circuit.

At the paper's cutoff back in July, the best circuit sat at roughly half Google's number. That one was mine (8e9c9a2). It held a few hours before someone went past it, which is exactly how this was meant to work.

The real finding isn't any single circuit. It's that an open leaderboard, with a machine-checkable target, moved a hard problem faster than any one team would have.

Tirai is a post-quantum shielded pool. Today's private transactions are curve-based, so the encrypted history is harvestable now and readable once quantum arrives. Tirai is built post-quantum from the first commit.
