please teach your daughters that having a voice is more important than being nice. having a backbone is more important than being palatable. having standards is more important than being liked. and having self respect is more important than being chosen.
just remembered this time I was calling to setup an appointment to get an IUD and I accidentally said "Hi! I'd like to get a UTI!" the line was so quiet for a second and I went "No wait I don't want that sorry..." and then we laughed, it was a great mixup
I don't think I want a life where every day is productive. I want some days where I read for too long, take an unnecessarily long shower, reorganize one drawer for no reason and go to sleep feeling like nothing important happened.

I just remembered this time a little while ago when I was ushering in an audience member for the show I was part of and they asked me where the bathroom was and I told them the way and then I proceeded to say "enjoy the bathroom!" and they replied with "I heard that!"
