instead-of-summary of new blogpost:
a few months ago I became conscious that I've been double-speaking about kaspa for a long time now: when I talk with regular people I show off kas' speed, but when I meet crypto informed folks I instinctively shift to its unique security, to dagknight's resilience under netsplits come 2026. I am talking out of both sides of my mouth and I'm barely aware of it.
if forced to choose one north star, what would that be?
then later it occurred to me that this doublespeak actually represents two sides of the same coin- partial synchrony, a consensus category describing just that- protocols that are parameterless hence fast in peace times hence slow-yet-secure when the network/internet breaks. so now I think I can go back to speaking out of both sides of my mouth, as this represents two prongs of real-timeness.
hardcore crypto recognizes defensive values- security, censorship resistance, privacy. I argue we need a new category or metric for how long it takes a chain to achieve these defensive traits. eg bitcoin achieves censorship resistance in about an hour, kaspa achieves the same level in 1-3 seconds. doesn't make sense to flatten the two traits under the same umbrella term "censorship resistance".
the limit of this metric is real-time decentralization- the ability to sample the consensus network in real time with very high granularity, and achieve all the good properties that proof-of-work gives us just in real-time. started diving into this in the post.
kaspa's north star is real-time decentralization, but did you know the north star is actually a triple? now you do

The Zero-Knowledge (ZK) opcodes are just around the corner for $KAS!
The KIP-16 PR which is about the implementation of ZK proof verifications opcodes was merged yesterday.
This enables on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs, providing the foundation for decentralized Layer 2 solutions and verifiable off-chain computation for Kaspa.
We’re excited to introduce EigenFlow: the first framework for optimal market making on Kaspa utilising the blockDAG.
Our new paper, “Optimal Market Making on Directed Acyclic Graph Blockchains,” extends the classic Avellaneda–Stoikov model to Kaspa’s parallel block environment.
Key insight: By quoting across multiple parallel blocks, market makers can reduce inventory risk by O(1/n)—something impossible on linear chains.
At Kii, our focus is on engineering, creating market enabling tools that connect enterprise needs with Kaspa capabilities.
📄 Read the full paper: https://t.co/DDR5l2rJEh
If you're into the math, check it out.
Why This is an Important 'LEGO' Piece for Kii as a Market Enabler:
Unlike linear blockchains, Kaspa’s 10 BPS + GHOSTDAG enables a form of “branching-time” market making. This opens the door to multi-market strategies - from high-frequency pairs to slower, real-world assets- all secured by the same chain.
At the Kaspa Industrial Initiative (Kii), we're all about market enabling real-world tools – think tokenising RWAs like carbon credits, energy assets, or supply chains (shoutout to Olive Chain!).
To build solid exchanges and marketplaces for these, you need deep liquidity: tight prices, low slippage, and execution you can trust. Eigenflow is that key building block - it provides the "liquidity layer" that makes markets work smoothly, especially in fragmented or regulated spaces where trades aren't constant.
Without it, those platforms could be clunky and empty; with it, we're enabling institutional-grade finance on Kaspa. It ties perfectly into WarpCore for fiat bridges and ZETA/Zet-Ex for eco-trading, letting us create vibrant ecosystems that onboard enterprises.
The Novel Twist – Unique to Kaspa BlockDAG:
What makes EigenFlow revolutionary? It's not just "market making on blockchain" - it's rebuilt from the ground up around Kaspa's BlockDAG structure. Instead of assuming one timeline (like Bitcoin or Ethereum), it uses math (spectral graphs, eigenvalues, and optimised control equations) to exploit parallel blocks for better predictions.
Quotes across multiple paths "concentrate" execution times (less uncertainty, like flipping multiple coins for a quicker win), while handling risks like conflicts or delays. This Kaspa DAG-native approach - with theorems proving 35-75% efficiency gains - hasn't been done before. It's PoW-secure, scalable to 10 blocks/sec, and primed for vProgs upgrades.
Basically, EigenFlow for Kaspa lets us do market making in a way linear chains can't touch.

What makes the KAT Bridge different?
The KAT Bridge is built with the $KAS core principles in mind: transparency, correctness, and verifiability.
This means:
• 0 missing or stuck assets
• Flawless execution across all bridge operations
• Automatic daily validation checks for every bridge instance (see first reply)
Everything is provable, auditable, and continuously checked.
For Kaspa, where correctness and trustless design matter, this level of validation is not optional, it’s fundamental.
The KAT bridge doesn’t just move assets between layers, it preserves Kaspa’s integrity across them.
Remember how I said yesterday that there are still a lot of rough edges as we don't even prune or clean up after ourselves? Today we do! 😅
We just merged two big PR's that enable eviction (https://t.co/UwwzHmi2Mv) and pruning (https://t.co/Hgxx6AkGAK) in the vprogs framework.
In the last few days, the debate around “KASPA NEEDING MORE MARKETING” has intensified, and I think it’s worth addressing it seriously.
First of all, having an opinion is not the same as having experience.
Real experience in crypto doesn’t come from years of shitposting or chasing engagement with empty narratives.
It comes from understanding cycles, human behavior, and how narratives actually form and die in this space.
As much as I value the $KAS community I often see people, sometimes even with decent reach, spreading misleading or outright false messages.
That doesn’t help Kaspa. It pushes people away.
Posting memes about unrealistic prices, or narratives where “no one is buying now but everyone will be lining up to buy at 100x later,” is not a solid strategy to promote Kaspa.
It is a good strategy to farm engagement and grow personal accounts; but anyone with real crypto experience knows this kind of guerrilla marketing is used by every project, and rarely builds long-term credibility.
There’s also a crucial distinction to make: Kaspa is not a company.
It doesn’t have a marketing department, and it shouldn’t be treated like one.
Expecting “official marketing” misses the point of what @kaspaunchained actually is.
If we genuinely want to do something useful, the most effective approach would be coordination.
I’ve already suggested this privately to @argonmining and @: bringing together the ~100 most influential voices in the Kaspa ecosystem into a private Telegram group, used purely to synchronize efforts.
Synchronize topics.
Synchronize timing.
Share high-quality material created by people who may not have large accounts but produce excellent content.
Everyone should do what they’re best at.
From a marketing perspective, and I say this as someone who actually studied it, coordinated, planned, and synchronized communication is far more powerful than random noise. Some level of shitposting and FOMO will always exist, and that’s fine.
But relying on that alone is also the fastest way to lose serious attention.
At this stage, the only marketing that truly makes sense for Kaspa is coordination within the community; deliberate, aligned, and focused on substance.
That’s how you build something durable.

I very much agree with this!
Marketing has to come from the community and one of the reasons why I ordered my new mic equipment is because I want to actually host a regular hangout where we can discuss deeply about Kaspas vision and tech.
Initially I would use this to communicate knowledge about the vprogs architecture but I would really like this to become a regular thing (like eventually once a week when things get less busy) where we can also invite researchers from other projects, or just hang out as a community and talk about things that are interesting.
Generally speaking, I think it is important for us as a community to transition from a "do you trust the individuals behind the project" to a "do you deeply understand and trust the ideas of the project" situation.
So far no crypto project other than Bitcoin has ever really managed to do that because technical capabilities were synonymous with technical complexity and it is simply not feasible to assume that the average person without a computer science background can truly understand what Solana is doing under the hood.
What we are building is however really striving for simplicity and if my 7 year old daughter understands how Kaspas execution layer works, you will also be able to understand it.
There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come and I think what we really need is what all other crypto projects are lacking: A large user base that truly understands the actual idea (every last little detail of the technology) and can spread it.
Our marketing strategy should not be about "promoting Kaspa" but about helping people understand it and its unique vision.
A few words on the kaspanet/vprogs code repository.
Consider this as two efforts digging a mountain from both directions and seeking to meet.
Hans @hus_qy (and others will join) is building a based computation runtime, i.e., a runtime that is fed by a sequencer with transactions and executes them over a vm (or several vms) with maximum concurrency.
The covenants++ taskforce is digging from the L1 side, building the covenant infrastructure and zk opcodes that will allow this runtime to settle and bridge from/to L1.
We aim to reach each other first through a narrow tunnel, and only then widen the pathway together.
That’s the covenants++ goal: create based zk covenants on one side and a minimal standalone app-level runtime on the other, then have them connect and link with production-ready quality.
Then we widen the tunnel together, integrating increased composability while still targeting maximum sovereignty (with the vprogs yellowpaper guiding the way). This pathway can also be gradual (see the gist I shared a few weeks ago).
The point is building the basic elements in production-ready quality, having them support massive based computational apps, and then continuing the journey
Over the past few months, @Kaspa_KEF has proudly funded the first phase of the #Kaspa Educational Series, witnessing #Kaspa's roots deepen in Nigeria thanks to the relentless Proof of Work by @0x_ObinnaNwafor and his team. After reaching over 3,700 individuals and onboarding over 1,000 new users, they are now ready for the Expansion Phase, targeting major crypto hubs and moving into West Africa.
At @Kaspa_KEF, we identify and support high-value initiatives, and we believe that the most resilient endeavors are built on coordinated community efforts. To this end, we have contributed $1,000 to the expansion to kickstart the momentum, and invite others who share the same passion to join us in backing this proven team.

Have you ever looked at different DLT projects and realized they're all converging on the same ideas, just with different terminology?
And have you ever wondered what would happen if you forced all DLT projects to have a baby, where each could only contribute their most powerful ideas?
You'd be surprised by the overlap - how non-unique many projects actually are - and how few genuinely good ideas exist. Often they sound almost trivial once you strip away the noise.
The problem is that fundamental breakthroughs get buried under layers of unnecessary complexity - the inevitable result of gradually expanding a protocol's capabilities as research progresses.
With Kaspa, we have the benefit of being late. In fact, we're so late that we arrive at the party when almost all the research has already been done. We can skip the archaeology and just make that perfect baby - making the final breakthrough on our quest for perfection.
Today we are open-sourcing our vprogs framework: https://t.co/eCvvSAyt1n
A post-Amdahl execution engine that enables inter-block parallelism and linear scaling beyond boundaries traditionally assumed to be possible in the context of DLT execution.
By deeply understanding causal actors and domains, we eliminate almost all logic and instead encode behavior in dependencies and relational properties of a generic type framework.
This allows us to transparently map hardware resources to workload - achieving linear scalability.
The design principles:
- No fsync / WAL flush boundaries
- No mutexes / locks
- Versioned append-only data with efficient rollbacks
- Maximal parallelism - even inter-block - breaking through Amdahl's law
- No wasted CPU cycles on speculative execution
This repo is still heavily WIP with rough edges (we don't even prune state yet). But the goal of this repository is to create a concrete instantiation of all existing research directions condensed into a singular, maximally performant type framework that gets away with almost no logic.
There's still room for improvements (zero-copy deserialization, NUMA affinity, etc.) but we're converging toward a system that can eventually no longer be optimized or simplified.
The holy grail of blockchain execution isn't more complex but orders of magnitude less complex than anything that exists today!
I am really looking forward to tell you more about this in the coming weeks (I just ordered a new microphone pre-amp to be able to host regular hangouts where we can discuss and explain how everything works under the hood - let's pray for a fast delivery 😅).
