𝗜 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆

I need to pray like I need air.

A few days ago, I took stock of my life because I was unhappy and restless. I was grappling with problems I'd identified many moons before that were still there. But I wasn't gaining traction and felt like a failure.

I finally asked myself a question, "Subomi, when was the last time you felt happy?" It hit me that it was when I used to spend time with God before anything else. I would wake, pour a hot coffee and read my Bible while watching the trees and water. It was a beautiful blend of nature and Jesus.

I spent the first few hours of every day in a world filled with connection, meaning and purpose. God and I would commune and then, I would meditate uninterrupted, my mind brimming with ideas, which quickly filled my notepad. My best business and life ideas came from that place of prayer.

𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲

I started to work across time zones and then everything went to shit. I unknowingly lost my compass, anchor, and comfort as I spent my mornings in mind-numbing meetings.

Quality time with God provides the motivation I need to face this tragic, difficult, and painful world. Without this buffer, I am dealing directly with reality every day, and that was never God's plan. He very carefully placed me in a bubble, so I could draw strength. He didn't mean for me to face life without armor.

So now, I'm going back to the place of prayer. It means I will be less available and have reduced work hours. But from experience, the ideas that come from one hour in God's presence are better than hours of independent thinking.

Many people say they trust God and have faith in Him, but how they respond to life's challenges often tells a different story.

Their attitudes, driven by fear instead of faith, reveals a disconnect between what they claim and how they live.

This is exactly what our sovereign God is testing right now.

If you claim to have faith, it should be evident in how you respond to the world’s trials.

Follow the example of Christ, the apostles, and the prophets.

Live the gospel, lead others to repentance, and fulfill the commands given to us.

Don’t let your heart grow cold from the wickedness around us, as Jesus warned in Matthew 24:12.

Renew your mind (Romans 12:2), bear the fruits of the Spirit, and inspire repentance in others.

Stay true to your divine purpose and don't get sidetracked by the world's distractions, no matter the challenges that come your way.
