Tomorrow marks two years since young Kenyans who stood up against political tyranny were killed for it. Many others were maimed. They are living scars of our brutal political system.

Two things must be clear as we commemorate June 25th: First, the right to peaceful assembly and to picket is constitutional. The government is duty-bound to respect and protect it. It should not unleash goons or interfere. Second, government officials must desist from threatening citizens who are organising to exercise their rights and remember their departed loved ones. Kenyans, killed in 2024 and 2025, deserve justice.

Accountability must be followed with appropriate compensation and permanent memorialization. Cobbling together sham compensation is not justice.

Kenyans must be allowed to exercise their democratic rights, and never again should we witness abductions or forced disappearances.

Enough.

Noticed this Cyclist did not have reflective lights and flash light also no street lights on our road. Decided to shield and light for him. Also magadi road can be dangerous at night as it has alot of alcohol joints, hence alot of accidents weekly due to drunk drivers.

It’s important, however, to make a clear distinction: while individuals like George Ruto support and appreciate matatu culture, this doesn’t automatically mean the culture endorses the political regime.
The Enemy is not George, the enemy is bad governance and killer government.
Ma3 Culture is a reflection of the people,complex, independent, and often resistant to co-option.

Still, it’s encouraging to see young lads like George Ruto not only in touch with but also proudly standing behind a culture that he genuinely understands and loves. His support represents a bridge,not control and it’s a sign of progress when leaders recognize and celebrate the raw, authentic expressions of Kenya’s urban youth.

The earth actually takes about 365 days and 6 hrs to complete a trip round the sun, but for convenience, we ignore the 6 hrs. And over 4 years, the ignored extra 6 hrs yearly accumulate to a full day (24 hrs) which we then add as Feb 29th, creating a leap year
