The issue with Axie Origins was never just tokenomics.
As development shifts to Atia’s Legacy, Origins needs a clear gameplay roadmap — real patches, decision-driven rewards, and reasons to play.
Without that clarity, silence fills the gap — and criticism grows.
@AxieInfinity
I assumed leadership of Origins and Classic this week. Nothing fundamentally changed in the announcement below. We’ve wanted both games to kick off their seasons, so we did.
What does this mean? We’ll find ways to align the Axie ecosystem’s objectives while factoring in what the community believes in.
I’m a strong advocate for community feedback, and I’m not afraid to say no when something is clearly out of reach. We need to find a middle ground, and that’s what I’ll work to deliver.
Let’s get to work.
@JayBeVerse Es que hay distintos escenarios el pesimista el positivo el ideal y el real , para mí ideal sería un ron en 10$ y un axs en 50 , pero cuál sería tu escenario Real
@Jihoz_Axie: "In 2026 we'll experiment more."
@SkyMavisHQ: "What if we experimented with killing Axie? 😃"
After so many games that tried to be the "Axie killer", Axie himself ended up killing Axie.
Unbelievable.
This is straight-up fuck up—there's no better way to say it while keeping it real!
I'd almost go as far as calling it an attack on the Axie community!
Well then, welcome to the outlaw camp dear @AxieInfinity community, even so we are still on @Ronin_Network network that was originally created exactly for this game.
And honestly, I doubt even the more reasonable part of the Moku community is thrilled about this.
It's like if someone took your kidney, slapped a Mickey Mouse sticker on it, and expected you to be happy about it.
Swap the kidney for SLP and Mickey for Moku, and there you have it.
Do you even read the comments under that post SM leaders?
What do you think dominates the replies on something like this? Of course—the Axie community wants you to focus on Axie itself and stop violating its culture by shoving Moki in there instead of actually fixing SLP or or addressing any other substantial topic such as any of these:
To be clear again: I'm the last person who'd hate on someone just because they prefer a different NFT than me. Let every NFT holder on Ronin—and elsewhere—be happy! Tons of my fans have Moku as their profile pic, and I'll always see the real people behind those profiles.
I doubt Hantao himself intended this.
@JaseTheWizard congrats on hitting 3k, and the good news is your services will be needed for a long time yet.
At the same time, tell the boss that the @RonkeOnRon community—and @RareAxies especially—aren't idiots. Sending one like and one repost of Ronke Arcade as an "apology" barely scratches the surface of smoothing over this year's report massive fuck-up.
Another good news for SM this time: @AxieAur has invested in pretty much everything you're pumping right now for safety, so you're good for a little while longer.
But Jihoz could use a vacation—ideally a stay in darkness or some psychedelic trip—otherwise he'll blow up this chain. Betting everything on a game that's more about observation, where you can "analyze something" in a world of growing AI power, might end up as Ronin's grave.
I'm saying all this just for myself, noting that yes, I have investments across the entire Ronin ecosystem—primarily in Axies—and yes, I welcome all projects on Ronin, including the fishermen and the pissed-off dinosaurs, even though I've used them in the past as examples of "non-games."
But digging at Axies on a chain that was originally built for Axies is where the line should be drawn.
Welcome to the world of outcasts, dear Axie players, hopefully quality of the upcoming MMO will heal our wounds.
"Who’s left that won’t let this chain become SM’s personal cash cow, no matter how many corpses it takes?"
P.S. God, I really can’t wait to go back to posting cute love stuff… I’m sick of ranting about how investment-blind the SM leadership still is at the moment.
Still Bullish @Ronin_Network in the long term. 👍
@Jihoz_Axie@Jihoz_Axie One question: Origins is no longer your game? Don't you feel it? Doesn't it hurt to see him die? Or will you disconnect him from the oxygen machine yourself?
@AxieInfinity@Moku_HQ And where will these accessories be used if there are fewer and fewer players in the ecosystem every day thanks to its poor management? When they finally react and want to revive Origins, beware, it might be too late @Jihoz_Axie@jaatster@JaseTheWizard
These things are already saturated can u guys nerff this shit, idk how u guys expect us keep playing axie IF u guys are the ones Who abandonado axie withouth updates
@JaseTheWizard@pos2only@Ronin_Network What happened to the Dawn of the Dawn and Mecca card project? What happened to leveling the Axies to 120 to obtain level 3 cards? Speak clearly and transparently about whether the Origins project will continue or not. Speak honestly with your community.
@JaseTheWizard@pos2only@Ronin_Network Why the neglect of Origins? We know they've released seasons, but we've had three seasons without balance changes. Axies owners don't just play Classic or Origins, or even plan to play Axies Legacy. We want to use our NFTs in all games
At least they should give us an offseason with the rare epic and mystic eras so that players who didn't play last season can test their compositions in the different eras. The way the offseason is set up right now, everyone is in mystic mode @AxieInfinity@jaatster
