Paul Skenes was driving down Perry Highway in Wexford just past seven o’clock Monday night when the Pirates superstar pitcher made a pit stop. It was a Little League field.
Skenes signed autographs for over two hours, connecting with Pittsburgh's next generation.
For @MLB ⤵️
The First player chosen in the 1971 NFL Draft - Jim Plunkett of Stanford, went to the struggling New England Patriots and stayed with them 5 seasons until moving on.
He would eventually end up leading the Raiders not once but twice to Super Bowl victories in the 80s.
@TheFrizz87 As a kid I went to card shows and bought potential superstars card for a dollar. Kevin Romine, Mickey Pina, Greg Blosser, Todd Benzinger, Mike Greenwell & Reid Nichols. Wouldn’t trade that for anything. Favorite name we ever had, Spike Owen! 1986!
