@DabuTV@Fubgun Plenty of people still play. No sane company would pull an existing product with a lot of demand, that's probably making them lots of money.
@NeverSinkDev Seems like a design problem, not a player problem. Temple reset would be good, but won't do much if the mechanics aren't overhauled. Those tweaks would take time even if they weren't on holiday break, so not sure it will happen anytime soon.
@NeverSinkDev Not just Holten, it's also snaking, and the fact that the temple mechanics allow for such abuse in the first place. Even if they fix Holten, and other easily abused zones, temple abuse will continue, just less efficiently. Abuse aside, temple needs improving, it's just not fun.
@Nstr_tj You're one of the few reasons I even check X. Thanks for dropping knowledge and being a generally cool human. Any people/sources you'd recommend for learning better TA and/or general crypto/market thoughts? Tough to find genuine, knowledgeable, trustworthy folks.
at our storytelling night on Friday, i presented on the power of a nudge, the idea that small comments can shift someone’s life trajectory in dramatic ways. some of my own biggest life changes began as nudges from friends. 🦋
in behavioural economics, nudge theory describes how subtle design choices influence behaviour, like putting fruit at eye level to encourage healthy eating.
but outside policy, nudges happen between people all the time. some of my own turning points started as tiny nudges:
— @mahlenr saying “you should tweet more” → led to my relationship and so many new friends, getting paid to tweet
— Marlene saying “you should write essays” → inspired me to try writing essays and began my Substack journey, which has been so meaningful and led me to quit my other full time job
— @manyorbits asking “have you been writing lately?” → rekindled my creative practice after I lost it
i used to think i was hyper-independent and entirely self-directed. now I see being influenced as a kind of openness, a willingness to be moved. being nudgable to me means being receptive to life’s invitations.
what’s magical is we can all offer these micro-nudges to others. a single sincere sentence can open a new timeline for someone.
i often underestimate how much power lives in everyday conversation, to help someone imagine a new future, or take a step they weren’t sure they could.
stay open to the nudges that find you, and don’t forget to pass them on 🦋
@Nstr_tj With such a rapid drop and massive liquidations do you have any concerns about potential fallout from more systemic risk like we've seen in the past?
@Nstr_tj What's most interesting is hearing your rationale behind everything. Not just one indicator, but how you piece it all together to see the big picture. Identifying confluences, even factoring in things like liquidation levels, mkt conditions, time of day/week/month, events, etc.
@kevinrose@grok Worries me because in the ways that artificial reps already exist, they greatly contribute to the internet's enshitification. Another likely scenario is AI browsing the internet for us, curating content and filtering undesired bullshit all our feeds. Game changer in many ways.
