Having moved on to new work & finding time to reflect on 'The Year of the Film'... I'm feeling so lucky to have travelled to every corner of our beautiful country (and beyond) with this story.

As the maker of the "skillful" documentary mentioned above... I'd like to know where the "drunk English-accented thugs" were in the film? The only English-accented NO voter to appear is an aristocratic pensioner. The other English-accented people feathering in the film are YES voters. By 'drunken thugs' you must mean the "Orange Order anti-independence protestors" They were the most visible NO voters in Scotland and their presence in the film is accurate and valid. Other NO voters to have a voice in the film include women sitting on a bench and workmen on the street. Neither are drunk. The "decent... music-loving" YES campaigners - is one man who is the lead protagonist in the film. As an observational documentary about one family's experience of 2014 made by one person without funding, it is limited it its scope. But this story is true. Having toured around the whole of Scotland we have been affirmed this the film portrays accurately the emotions and experience of a large proportion of the population of Scotland. Can I ask if the person who wrote this article lived in Scotland during 2014?
