@WG_RumblePants It feels almost like a pointless exercise because, rightly or wrongly, it's going to be Brook. And who knows, the responsibility may have a positive effect on him.
@craigaalt@mattylufc_ I guess my issue with fairness is with test cricket in general. In the last 4 years England have played 52 tests, 30 so far have been against AUS, IND or NZ. That's a big imbalance in favour of the richer nations. I can't help but feel indifferent to the WTC while it's like this.
@craigaalt@mattylufc_ I'd say it's equally hypothetical that it wouldn't feel hollow to me. But it's a moot point as it's not going to happen anytime soon. Hopefully by the time it does, it will be a proper competition with equal opportunities for all, especially the smaller test nations.
@craigaalt@mattylufc_ I want England to win tests but whether that results in a WTC final is irrelevant to me. We haven't played South Africa for 4 years, Bangladesh for 10, never played Afghanistan. Even if England were a good team and made the final it would feel hollow in its current format.
@WarwickshireCCC@CountyChamp Oh dear. No OHD, no Barks, no Woakes. And the continued selection of Davies is getting silly now. Good to see Che in the side though, I hope he plays.
@WarwickshireCCC No Kai Smith seems crazy to me, Alex Davies is woefully out of form. Jordan Thompson too, played every game so far but yet to perform. Good to see Barker back though.
@WarwickshireCCC Such sad news. I was in my teens when we went on that amazing run from 93 to 95 and the achievements from those guys will stay with me forever. Keith was such a huge part of that success. Should have played for England but that was the era we began to move towards keeper-batsmen.
@BoothCricket Ridiculous if he does. Breaking a curfew was a bit silly - although I'm not sure why there was one when the test was over and 10 days until the next - but it's not something he should lose his job over.
