This is an amazing tool for those who want to expose the biases of those they are talking with and to see how deep they are embedded within their own echochamber!

@PersimmonHunter@pupil1738@suttmus I don't think the government should reimburse everyone for social security. Reducing the money supply is what eventually causes deflation. The Fed raises interest rates to reduce the amount of people borrowing money and cause deflation. Deflation is the act of reducing inflation.
@PersimmonHunter@pupil1738@suttmus It reduces the amount of money going into the market going forward. And yes, it would need to be slow or the government would need to somehow repay Americans for everything they paid into programs like social security.
@PersimmonHunter@pupil1738@suttmus Exactly right. There wasn't a deflationary period like There should've been because the government pumped more money into the economy, inflating out any deflation that would've taken place. The fed maintains a positive inflation rate, meaning the US dollar loses value every year.
@PersimmonHunter@pupil1738@suttmus Yes, you are right, for the same reasons I mentioned above. Removing entitlements like social security and medicaid would reduce the amount of capital circulating the market, causing the value of the dollar to increase and prices to go down.
@PersimmonHunter@pupil1738@suttmus Yes and no. That's a solution to future inflation, which I agree with. It may not be enough to turn around past inflation.
I agree the Biden era policies are responsible for a huge amount of inflation. However, the Fed's job is to maintain an increasing inflation rate rather than deflation. Recession is inherently deflationary as inflation is caused by an abundance of money in the economy. Recession sucks money out of the economy, making it deflationary.
The Federal Reserve is a garbage and bunk institution sarted by racist globalist Woodrow Wilson. It single handedly caused the Great Depression. It's stated goal is to inflate U.S. currency by 1-2% every year. The Biden era inflation that reached up to 14% is compounded into our economy. You would need a negative inflation rate to reverse what he did, which can only be cause by radical increases in supply of goods across the board or an economic recession.
@PersimmonHunter@pupil1738@suttmus But that's not the repair cost. That's the hourly labor rate. That doesn't include parts and if tge job takes 2-5 hours that job gets expensive very quickly...
Regulations are hapf the problem. It's the unions that insist their employees be paid $50-80 an hour. I've been looking for a new car recently and one of the dealers told me labor for repairs is costing between $200-400 an hour. I agree with deregulation, but no business will move their manufacturing here simply because of the labor expenses.
@TheExBeliever Every single one of those quotes is ripped out of its context. The left and atheists love to do this all the time where they take three words from a verse and that that is the entire scripture.
@_Credible_Hulk The Federal Reserve is responsible for 90% of the economic problems Americans face. They were the number 1 reason why we had the great depression. All in favor of removing the Federal Reserve?
@T_wolfpoint Nearly half of what is on that list isn't necessary and should be done away with. What Republicans are warning is that if Democrats and the DSA have their way, they would centralise everything including housing, grocery stores, private industry, and anything else you can think of
I wanna chime in and split the difference here. "Domestic production" is not inherently valuable. We simply need to move manufacturing away from our geopolitical enemies, like China and Russia. Tariffs can be used as leverage to make deals with other countries, but they should be used to negotiate the removal of foreign tariffs on the U.S. amd encourage free trade. The Trump administration moved too fast in an effort to bring about swift results and ended up harming their reputation and the economy.
Republicans are for pluritarian representative democracy. Democrats are for mob rule democracy.
Republicans are against spending 23 Trillion dollars a year on Healthcare and killing medical innovation. Democrats are for taking your entire salary and making you wait for months for treatment.
Republicans (specifically Trump) are the only ones who have actually passed caps on prescription drug prices and negotiated the best prices for Americans with drug companies.
Republicans believe education should be run and funded primarily by States as it is not a power listed in the Constitution. Democrats wish to force their ideology on all children at the youngest age possible.
Republicans are protecting Women's sports. Democrats want men to be allowed in women's bathrooms.
Republicans believe only U.S. citizens should vote. Democrats want to import 3rd world terrorists for more votes.
Both parties have pushed for a child tax credit that will do nothing for families.
For Democrats, "common sense gun reform" means removing the second amendment. Republicans are protecting the Constitutional right to bear arms.
Democrats want to force you to take drugs you may not need. Republicans give you a choice.
Democrats want to destroy productive industry in America by increasing labor costs. Republicans want to deregulated the economy to allow it to flourish.
Democrats claim to tax the wealthy, but they want everyone's money. Republicans want everyone to keep more of their pay check.
Democrats want to regulate industry and advancement into the ground. Republicans support entrepreneurs and new ideas.
Democrats want to pay people to sit at home and do nothing with your tax dollars. Republicans say they should work like you do.
Democrats want to allow every person into our country with no checks, including criminals, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and terrorists. Republicans want to protect American citizens from foreign threats.
Republicans want tax breaks and lower tax rates for everyone. Democrats want to tax your entire paycheck.
Republicans believe in the life of the unborn. Democrats call murder healthcare.
Republicans want you to be able to protect yourself and your community. Democrats want to take your weapons so you obey the government gun and are preyed upon by criminals.
Framming situations is very important, and people can rephrase it any way they want to make them seem like the good guys.
@SmittysView Hate to disagree here, but Social Security is what is making this country bankrupt. Fraud is an issue that should 100% be addressed, but until Social security is either restructured or done away with we will never pay off our debt.
Notice in my last post how I said EVERYONE? We ALL get together and agree on the baseline. This is what everyone agrees on. That is the foundation. Not 51%. 75-90% at the least. It should be closer to 100%. There should be basic things that we can all agree upon. And if you try to come to our country, state, or community and refuse to abide by those basic standards, you should be punished for that.
I feel like you are actively trying to run away from my actual argument, so let me spell this out for you again in simple terms.
Group of people form a community/government. They agree on basic ideas of dos and don'ts (laws based on their collective moral thinking). Outsiders come in and break laws. Outsiders punished for not following communities laws.
It's that simple. I'm not necessarily arguing that my morality and ideas should be placed on everyone. I'm simply arguing that there must be a baseline that everyone agrees to.
