@archaeogremlin @robin__craig Absolutely. I refuse to believe 'foreigners god' is not a trans man singing about his trans gf. 'Like real people do'? T4t anthem. That's before we even get to 'Take me to church'.
the decriminalization of sex work should go hand in hand with the struggle for prison abolition & the end of carceral capitalism. if you support abolishing the police, you need to support sex workers actively seeking decriminalization.
Updated Bust Cards for BLM protesters in the UK! Please save these to your phones if your are attending. Legal Observers will also be handing these out at the Protests!
The only time I’ve felt erased as a lesbian is when anti trans activists have shouted me down and sent me the vilest abuse whenever I express support for my trans siblings. Never once have trans women treated me with the ferocity of the straight people claiming to be saving me.
3) reducing the capacity of the existing state to inflict harm upon communities as we hold political power within our own communities to impose the changes we want upon the existing system. It's not about electing officials & giving our power up to those people to represent us
more things that are a part of the abolitionist process:
1) dismantling systems of oppression: racial capitalism/imperialism, racism, military, police, prisons, cishetpatriarchy, settler colonialism, ableism, Empire, the capitalist state
2) building new systems of kindship & care
Here are some things that are a part of an abolitionist process:
1) defunding police & other non-reformist reforms
2) communities developing new modes of non-carceral/non-punitive justice (transformative justice, etc)
3) developing new ways to prevent harm in community
Here are some things that abolition does not mean:
1) reform
2) a new kind of police
3) getting rid of police and leaving jails, prisons, military & capitalism in tact
4) a one time event
5) something the capitalist state can enact as a policy fix, or hold as a process
I am not an expert on abolition. I'm a student of abolitionism. But I can tell you this. As someone who has studied it pretty intensively for about 5 years now: a lot of these people who are using the word abolition right now, do not even know what it means.
White folk you need to STEP ASIDE this Pride month. I do not want to be seeing all these corporate (WELL PAID) “collaborations” with big brands and white Artists/Performers!
READ THE ROOM
NO JUSTICE NO PRIDE
just an fyi curfews were created because the protests were so peaceful and law enforcement needed a reason to advance on people -- by being out past curfew, they could find protesters unlawful, even for peaceful protest
I have been away from this twitter account for a while but sharing this for a friend. Content warning for police violence and brutality; racism and ableism. Please share and donate what you can.

I'm always surprised that not everyone with #ADHD knows about RSD (Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria) and it's like, a real important part of having ADHD. Let's break it down!
