ERC-8004 x402 Deep Dive
so you like agents. but you can't trust agents. at least not until you know your agents are registered with the ERC-8004 standard.
ERC-8004 is the @ethereum standard for trustless agents - a framework for registering, discovering, and verifying autonomous agents on-chain.
it gives each agent a verifiable identity, reputation, and validation record, making interactions safer and more transparent.
with ERC-8004, agents can build trust, collaborate, and transact across networks without centralized gatekeepers.
here are a few apps already building on ERC-8004:
1. OpenServ @openservai
Openserv is a multi-agent orchestration platform, and you can build agentic workflows for your swarms on the platform.
integrating the ERC-8004 standard is particularly important here, as OpenServ workflows can be registered as on-chain agent identities.
with it agents will mint ERC-721 entries on the Identity Registry, exposing their metadata, MCP endpoints, and payment requirements. additionally, x402-based payment proofs will allow users to pay on-chain for workflow execution and attach verifiable payment references to their interactions.
this will make OpenServ agents discoverable, callable, and monetizable through the ERC-8004 standard.
2. Unibase @Unibase_AI
Unibase is a memory layer for agents. agents built on bitagent will now come with verifiable on-chain identity, permanent memory, and be able to transact with x402.
erc-8004 is important for a memory layer like unibase as you would want to be able to verify on-chain proof and traceability.
Unibase is also one of the first apps on @BNBCHAIN building with x402 and ERC-8004.
3. ChaosChain @Ch40sChain
ChaosChain is the accountability protocol for the autonomous AI economy.
with one SDK setup, you can your agents can now browse through ERC-8004 registries for identity, reputation, and validation.
you can also build verifiable, monetizable AI agents with on-chain identity with the SDK.

Everyone’s losing their minds over x402 and pumping every shitcoin vaguely related to it.
Meanwhile, peaq integrated that already weeks ago, powering autonomous payments amongst agents and machines.
peaq keeps pioneering the (physical) AI sector, lesson in there.
