@clawrence Absolutely nobody that needs both heating in the winter and cooling in the summer should get an AC. They SHOULD get a heat pump and switch it to cooling mode in the cooling season.

Batteries made today do not use cobalt, some no lithium. Rare earth minerals: not rare, but everywhere but just very messy and expensive to extract and refine.
@KentAnder PV produserer overraskende bra i feb-mar i sør Norge når det er snø på bakken, kaldt og solskinn. Husk at vannkraft produserer minst i feb-mai før snøsmelting begynner, slik at strømpriser i denne tiden er høye. Dermed får PV i dør Norge veldig godt betalt sen vinter-vår.
@EinarWilly@Bardar11@NRKno Hadde vi installert 2-3 GW med PV paneller i sør Norge hadde vi hatt mye lavere strømpriser fra mars til september. Men da ville Statkraft og Statnett fått mye lavere inntekter. Som forklarer deres motstand til mer distribuert PV.
@OleOestlid@EinarWilly Vi burde investere mer i et system som utnytter ALLE typer vær. Vi utnytter snø/regn med vannkraft, vi kan utnytte vindvær med vindturbiner og vi kan utnytte solskinnsvær med PV paneler. Vi trenger en del batterier i tillegg så har vi verdens beste energisystem til kavest kost.
