Took the paywall down from this story on the latest Tuberville ad so you could see our new fun campaign ad tracking tool we are using this cycle. Shows ad buy amounts, markets and even digital buys. This is like catnip for politicos an ADN Insiders can expect to see a lot more down the stretch.

As always, fantastic reporting from @Trish_Crain. It's so important to follow the numbers after huge policy changes like the CHOOSE Act. The data show two main truths: 1- There is strong and growing demand for education savings accounts. 2- That demand is coming mostly from families with kids already in private or home school.
Alabama’s CHOOSE Act program is much larger in its second year, with nearly 49,000 students applying for education savings accounts and more than 31,000 already using them - but the makeup of the program has changed less than its size.

Hard to imagine worse staff work. I mean the senator is ultimately accountable, but a staffer came up with this. Even worse if it was concocted/approved by committee staff, who tend to be more professional.
Republicans on the committee are going to be pissed because this will overshadow any points they were trying to make against Smith.
A phenomenal moment in the Senate.
Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta.
Smith denies it.
Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury.
Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland.
Watch the whole thing:
House Republican leadership says there’s no chance they are coming back for the senate NIL bill. They dont think they can get enough members back, it’s not a priority of theirs 5 weeks before election and they don’t even think this bill can get through rules.
Good perspective on these midterm elections from Amy Walter. Nobody better in the business. Appreciate her time and candor.
Also appreciate @PARCAlabama for making this conversation happen!

“I think the biggest question we all have right now is how strong is the seawall that Republicans have built? Some cases by redistricting, in others by just our polarization and partisanship that has hardened over the last 10 or 15 years."
Breaking: Alabama Finance Director Bill Poole is stepping down after more than five years in the role. He previously served as education budget chairman during his time in the Legislature. More to come.
