Hard to fully articulate her impact on improving policy for children and families in our state. All I can seem to find is that she’s one of the good guys and will be greatly missed. Enjoy your next chapter @RepTerriCollins #alpolitics https://t.co/GL7LOodSk5
Enjoyed moderating today’s #ACTSummit conversation with legislative education leaders, including Hunt-Kean Leadership Fellow Rep. Terri Collins, on how states are preparing students for life after high school—through career pathways, credentials, and real options.
Also appreciated hearing from Gov. Tate Reeves—another Hunt-Kean alum—on Mississippi’s push to expand opportunity. His words stuck with me:
"My core belief is that all our people can learn and all our people can be successful."
A good reminder of what this work is really about.

“Alabama was one of only two states, along with Louisiana, to surpass pre-pandemic NAEP scores in reading. Effective implementation of the Alabama Literacy Act is also adding up for students.” 👏🏼 @aplusala #alpolitics https://t.co/R1hgerIwYO
“We can either sit on the bench or be part of a greater mission to battle every day to make things better for America’s children.”
Loving that @SecJennerIN is kicking off #EIE24 alongside @JebBush. Nobody brings the energy like Katie!
Thankful for Governor Bush’s leadership.
Alabama lawmakers gave final passage Wednesday night to a bill intended to give legal protection to in vitro fertilization clinics after an Alabama Supreme Court ruling caused some to pause services.
Gov. Kay Ivey has signed the bill into law. https://t.co/OD8Bbg4UOQ
Students from the Carver High School Culinary Program prepared a delicious lunch for #ALBOE Members and several members of the Legislature — these students are learning skills and techniques for the hospitality industry #careertech#cte
