Today, Gov. Cooper presented his budget which includes an 8.5% pay raise for our teachers and $1B investment in public education. We must do the right thing and invest in our public schools, not taxpayer funded private school vouchers for the wealthy.

If your view of “school choice” includes siphoning money from grossly underfunded public schools, then it’s not school choice— it’s defunding public schools.
I will never understand why schools remove play in an effort to focus on academics when we know that play is one of the very things we need in order to focus on academics.
Thank a bus driver!!!!! 🚌 We are so fortunate to have them and their care transporting thousands of students to and from school, school events and field trips all around this country!! @lakemyra
Christina Spears, the new Wake NCAE president, tells Wake County school board that public should vote for school board candidates who support public schools & are proud to send their own children to them. (Several candidates are not sending their kids to district schools.) #wcpss
Teachers shouldn't have to write off school supplies because they shouldn't have to buy school supplies in the first place.
Teachers are employees, not business owners.
North Carolina’s kids deserve the best teachers in their classroom every day. Just pay, good working conditions, and respect will ensure that. Not privatization and deprofessionalizing schemes.
