Very excited about our new DishBrain paper, see Moein’s thread below.
We show that in vitro neurons have higher sampling efficiency compared to the state of the art deep reinforcement learning.

Using a multilevel parametric empirical Bayes framework, we observed that
1. cTBS induce wider network effect 2 min after stimulation while iTBS made more lasting changes up to 30 min.
2. TBS caused sustained inhibition within left sgACC microcircuits by increased ss inhibition

Does TMS delivered to the dlPFC elicit a response in the subgenual ACC?
New work with intracranial EEG says yes!

Spotlight on the Cognitive Systems Domain! An insightful paper examining the potential integration of the Predictive Processing framework and the #RDoC framework when studying #psychopathology; https://t.co/KnBpxDM2at @ToghiArmin@CPSYJournal
Although the current evidence does not fully support its utility in validating, in cases where PP encompasses both interpretable physiological components (MMN as PE) and known underlying circuitry, it demonstrates a strong capability for connecting different units of analysis.
Excited to share our new paper, published on @CPSYJournal

This review tries to address possible contributions of the Predictive Processing Framework to the @NIMH_RDoC matrix.
Key insights [1]:
Next, we turned to PP’s explanatory potential in integrating different units of analysis, to bring a mechanistic understanding of connections between biomarkers and clinical traits by targeting particular RDoC construct (Perception).
These results could have potential clinical implications, given the known associations between exploration-exploitation imbalances and psychopathologies.
Happy to share that our work is now published in @SciReports

Our study explored the causal role of right DLPFC in different explorative strategies, using TMS and Horizon task.
Key findings:
cTBS over rDLPFC vs Vertex
1.Decision noise only in total uncertainty condition ([2 2]) reduced in both horizons: random exploration reduced by increasing general reward sensitivity
2.Information bonus and spatial bias parameters intact in both horizons
