I once dated a lady that told me her dad will kill her if she carry Ibadan man go house. 😂

Why?

She said when she was about 5, her dad was saving money with one baba alajo (daily thrift collector). He wanted to buy his first car with the money.

When it was close to the time he wanted the money, her dad told the baba alajo in advance. The baba disappeared the same week he was supposed to give her dad the money and they didn’t see him again till date.

The baba alajo is an Ibadan man and that’s how anything Ibadan became forbidden in their house. 😂😭

If an Ibadan man treats her badly in the future (might not be relationship wise sev), she might say her dad was right all along and she was wrong for not listening to him.

I’m sure there are many of you whose parents have given warnings similar to this. Don’t marry woman from so so so o. Don’t marry man from so so so o. It is bigotry. But they are not really teaching you to be a bigot. To them, it is protecting you.

Personal pain can birth prejudice. Sure no one’s parents will sit them down and say this tribe is this or that (using the template used to raise me to judge here). Most times, it stems from personal experiences. However, I strongly believe “Generalization erase individuality”

After Trump made that statement, I was in North America defending the dignity of this country. The President and the USG have since become partners in progress. This man who will never be President of Nigeria is still recycling the insult against his own country.

Let’s be clear. You are free to have a go at your President. There are things I would criticise this administration for myself, and I have knocked governments before and praised them after. That is what honest citizenship looks like. But there is a difference between telling your government it is wrong and telling the world your country is worthless.

May I also add that it’s completely fine for a woman to accept to want to be 2nd, 3rd and 4th wife? Such women deserve the same respect like others. We should stop branding them as husband snatchers, home breakers and all sorts. They have done absolutely nothing wrong to choose to follow a permissible path.

Governor Seyi Makinde was 22 years when he moved to Port Harcourt & built a successive career & a business in the oil & gas industry there. He became very active in the social circle there. He even married an indigene of the region.

When it was time to pursue his political career, he came back to Ibadan, where he is from.

He didn't start fighting the Ikweres & the Ijaws for political positions by claiming he & his company pay tax in Port Harcourt & are therefore entitled to political offices in River State.

Be like Governor Seyi Makinde. Stop fighting the people of Amuwo Odofin & Oshodi Isolo for political positions - go back home & test your relevance.
