Principal Secretary (Agri Prod), Shri Sandeep Kumar and Commissioner (Agri) Shri Bidol Tayeng flagged-off 38nos of tractors under Atma Nirbar Krishi Yojna & SMAM for the year 2022-23 at Roing in LDV.

They also visited oilpalm nursery & 3-F Oilpalm factory at 9kilo Jia.

Dambuk HMLA Smt Gum Tayeng Madam distributed 40 quintals of Wheat seeds & Biofertilizers to the farmers of Bizari Village under 42nd Dambuk A/C procured through her MLA LAD fund.

This is a pilot project on trial basis to promote innovative cultivation of Wheat on cluster basis.

The 1st ever Agriculture packing machine in LDV become functional. It was provided on subsidy to Farmers Development Cooperative Society by Dept of Agriculture, Roing under #SMAM 2020-21.

A Large scale cultivation of an indigenous variety of Ginger, Adi Kekir by a Farmers Cooperative Society of Parbuk in LDV for seeding purpose on trial basis. This local variety of Ginger is traditionally used as medicines against cold & cough and in various local pujas. @AgriGoI

Normally our fields are used for one season only i.e.,for growing the main cereal crop Paddy. In rest of the seasons, it is kept fallow due to lack of irrigation or to allow soil to regenerate its fertility naturally. This year I’ve tried to cultivate Wheat on experimental basis.
