🏄🏻♂️ If you’ve ever had that burning desire to learn how to surf… but the ocean always felt too big, too unpredictable, too intimidating…
Kelly Slater built the answer for you.
Tucked away in the farmlands of Lemoore, California — right here at 18556 Jackson Ave, Lemoore, CA 93245 — is Surf Ranch. A man-made wave pool he engineered from the ground up. My son is a quadriplegic and drives a van that has been specially modified for him. This morning, when he went to drive off, the front driver’s side tire fell off! All the lug nuts came out, and the rim and tire were damaged.
It seems someone tried to steal the tire during the night, but because the van is modified, they couldn’t remove it with a regular jack. This type of problem is frustrating for most people, but when you are paralyzed and rely on a wheelchair and a special van, losing the van becomes a huge issue.
After calling around, we finally found a towing company that could come quickly with a flatbed truck. Jason from ‘On Time Towing’ in Richmond, VA went above and beyond to help. He had to set up a special system to get the van just high enough on the truck so he could use a jack to remove the damaged tire. Because the van has a lowered floor, this took a while.
When Jason saw that the hub assembly wasn’t damaged, he offered to put the spare tire on for my son so the van didn’t have to be towed. It was a very hot and humid day, too! Jason really saved the day for my son. He was able to drive to an important event tonight until he can get the van to the shop on Monday. Thank you, Jason! You’re amazing!
I had a heart attack at 52. My cardiologist put me on 80mg of Lipitor.
Within months I started losing my memory.
He switched me to Crestor. Then Repatha. Nobody asked why a cholesterol drug was affecting my brain.
I fired my cardiologist. I healed myself. This is the thread about what I found.

Dear All Who Care,
I am writing to you today with a frustrating and heartbreaking update regarding the investigation into the death of my father, Peter Yu. As you know, he was left unmonitored for 72 hours at North York General Hospital despite a cardiac emergency.
We relied on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)—the public regulator—to hold the doctors accountable. Instead, they are using a legal loophole to shut our family out of the process.
Today, the CPSO investigator officially told me that she will not allow me to see the doctors' written excuses or explanations for what happened during those 72 hours. She claimed it is "not their process" to show the family this evidence before they make a decision.
What is really happening:
The CPSO is using a bureaucratic trick (known as a "Section 75" investigation) to downgrade me from a legal "complainant" to a mere "witness." By doing this, they can run the investigation behind closed doors, keep the doctors' defenses a secret, and completely strip my family of our right to appeal their final decision to an independent judge.
They are protecting the hospital and the doctors from public scrutiny.
I am fighting back. Today, I issued a formal legal demand to the CPSO leadership, and I have escalated this matter to the office of our local MPP and the Health Critic.
Please share this update on your social media (Twitter/X, Facebook, Threads, etc) so the public sees how the CPSO operates in secret.
I will not let my father’s death be swept under the rug by a system designed to protect itself. Thank you for standing with my family. I will keep you updated.
With gratitude,
Kenny Yu.
Got a kid interested in aviation? Not sure how to help foster it?
In the US, the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) will give kids from 8-17 their first flight in a small plane!
I’ve flown a few; a great opportunity for kids & pilots, too!

I searched the crowd for my father, knowing his thoughts were with my mother too. I wanted him to know this gold medal belonged to all of us. As we look ahead to the next Olympics, I'm reminded that behind every athlete is a family whose love & sacrifices make the dream possible.
Most kids learn the same things, in the same way, at the same time.
But that’s not the childhood I wanted for mine.
I wanted a childhood filled with rich, unusual adventure.
These are the activities most kids will never experience.
But should♥️👇 https://t.co/20Xf4V1DHU
