We need to start asking our politicians how they will generate revenue to increase our budget and not those fancy rhetorics of how they will build Eldorado.

2026 budget of these three countries:

🇳🇬 Nigeria national budget is: $46 billion

Indonesia: +15.6%
South Africa: +12.7%

What is remarkable is that Nigeria’s budget has grown far faster than these peers. Much of Nigeria’s increase reflects:

Exchange-rate reforms,
Inflation,
Subsidy removal,
Higher nominal oil and tax revenues.

Tinubu finance team are doing wonders. But I believe we need to increase our mining, agriculture and industrial production capacity for bulk exports. We need railroad that leads to the port for bulk commodity export.

If I were President Tinubu, here are the measures I would take to curb insurgencies in the country.

1. Ban all open grazing across the country.

2. Ensure all states have a surveillance aircraft to monitor the forests and provide weekly reports.

3. Ensure all states have at least 1000 forest guards.

4. Direct all governors to set up their state police architecture.

5. Finally, order the forest guards and security personnel to shoot on sight anyone found in the bushes, including bandits and those who trade with them.
