Welcome to the official student-run Twitter of the Tolman Lab at WashU; our research fuses inorganic, biological, and polymer chemistry. Stay tuned for updates!
#CuNews No.26: @_caitlin_b_ & @WBTolman
@WUSTL @UMNews investigated the proton-coupled electron transfer & nitration of phenols ft a formally #Copper (III) nitrite complex - give this nice work a read! @InorgChem😄👉https://t.co/wzLJKRPmDQ👈😄
To all of our CSP postdocs, THANK YOU. We appreciate the talent and hard work you bring to discovering the sustainable polymers of tomorrow. #PostdocAppreciationWeek#NPAW2021
William B. Tolman has been appointed vice dean of research and entrepreneurship in @WUSTLArtSci. His new role will create more support for research initiatives and also brings a new focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. https://t.co/6yXfqRVBOS
Yanay’s productivity is an inspiration (see: Turkish coffee), yet he always has time to help troubleshoot a reaction or listen to a practice talk. We have learned so much from him and are so grateful to have him as a coworker!
We have so much to appreciate about our OG #TeamPolymer postdoc Yanay Popowski, it’s impossible to fit it all into this bird app, but we will try! https://t.co/O2GdfYrWDf
We appreciate Yanay because he has an expansive background in synthetic chemistry and always knows how to tackle new problems, because he’s always down for quality Tea Time, and because of his delicious pastries!
Yanay came to us from Moshe Kol’s lab at Tel-Aviv University, and brought immense expertise in catalyst design and synthesis, glovebox and schlenk technique, and makes the strongest Turkish coffee you’ll ever taste
Next up for #postdocappreciationweek Evanta Kabir! Evanta is on #TeamCopper and came to us from Thomas Tests’ group at the University of Houston https://t.co/R8foG3BmQJ
We appreciate Evanta because her diligence and grind in the lab, how she keeps the bioinorganic glovebox stocked to the brim, and because she’s a very kind, patient mentor.
It’s postdoc appreciation week, and we are very fortunate to have so many wonderful postdocs to appreciate! Starting off with Evan Beaumier, who came to us from @ianatonks and joined #TeamPolymer @UMN_CSP https://t.co/L6FKeYfFaW
We appreciate Evan because of his expansive knowledge of chemistry, his love for browsing the ASAPs, and sharing when he finds relevant literature! Grad students and undergrads alike have learned so much from Evan over the past year
