I'm sorry, Real Oviedo, but I don't think you'll be keeping Haissem Hassan for much longer. He's destined for a bigger move. What a footballer. A sensational dribbler with outrageous close control, explosive acceleration, and the ability to eliminate defenders at will. Every time he receives the ball, he looks capable of shifting the momentum of a match with a single action. What a right winger, man. Proper game-breaker. Europe will be watching.
Posting almost every day about the delay and non-payment of House Officers’ salaries was so exhausting and I had to stop, especially when the salary in question is just a little over six figures and not even up to half a million naira.
It is, however, disappointing that this issue continues to persist. Many training centres are already struggling with challenges such as inadequate accommodation, irregular electricity supply, and lack of water. House Officers often have to bear these costs themselves, in addition to spending significant amounts on transportation.
Despite these difficult working conditions, salary delays remain a recurring problem. It is unfair and discouraging to young doctors who are already making so much sacrifices in service of the healthcare system.
We Young doctors deserve better. A healthcare system cannot thrive when the people holding it together are constantly struggling to survive.

🔷️ A classic retinal finding with a central dark area surrounded by a ring of depigmentation — looks like a bull’s-eye.
🔷️ Most commonly associated with chloroquine / hydroxychloroquine toxicity.
🔷️ Caused by damage to the photoreceptors + RPE in the macula.
🔷️ Risk increases with dose >5 mg/kg/day, long duration, kidney disease, or retinal disease.
🔷️ Patients may present with paracentral scotomas and decreased visual acuity.
🔷️ Screening done using OCT, mfERG, fundus autofluorescence.
🔷️ Condition may progress even after stopping the drug, so early detection is key.
Dear God, release your immediate intervention in this matter. Rescue the hostages & may the peace that surpasses all understanding fall upon their families right now. Lord, we know your power. With faith & thanksgiving in advance, we claim the victory. In the mighty name of JESUS
TO:
THE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA,
PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR - @officialABAT@NGRPresident
From a Deeply Concerned and Fearful Nigerian Citizen
Your Excellency, Sir, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, @officialABAT@NGRPresident
1. I write this letter not as a politician, not as a party loyalist, and not as one sponsored by any interest group. I write as a deeply concerned Nigerian, a scared one, who still believes, against all odds, that you have the capacity to effect the urgent change our dear nation desperately needs.
2. Many years ago, sir, you made several public statements and tweets calling the government of that time to action, especially on the matter of insecurity. You demanded accountability. You demanded urgency. You demanded protection for Nigerians. I want to believe, sincerely, that those words were not driven by political ambition, but by your genuine concern as a citizen who felt the pain and fear of ordinary Nigerians.
3. You held the then President accountable; boldly, publicly, courageously. And that is why it is heartbreaking today to see that everything you condemned then is now happening with a frightening intensity under your administration. Our brothers and sisters across the nation are being killed, kidnapped, robbed, assaulted, and traumatized on a daily basis. Insecurity has taken a monstrous form and is eating deep into the soul of this country.
4. We can no longer sleep with our eyes closed.
Our places of worship are under attack.
Our schools are not safe.
Travellers move in fear.
Communities are being wiped out.
Families are being shattered.
And the perpetrators proudly release their evil acts online without any sense of consequence.
5. It is difficult to believe they cannot be brought to justice. It is difficult to believe the Nigerian state is helpless. Nigerians are already battling unbearable economic hardship, to now add this overwhelming climate of fear is a weight too heavy for the average citizen to carry.
6. Mr. President, I do not believe you are a man of mere words. Your history shows that when you choose to act, you act decisively. That is why I am appealing to you: Rise to this occasion. Take bold action. Rally the security architecture of this nation. Restore order. Restore safety. Restore the confidence of the Nigerian people.
7. The nation is bleeding.
We are scared.
We are tired.
We are begging for help.
8. This message is never about politics or a means to be an opposition to your government. This is about survival. And we believe that you, as the Commander-in-Chief, have the responsibility and the power to put a complete stop to this madness.
9. Nigeria needs you to act. And to act now.
Respectfully,
A Concerned Nigerian Citizen,
Damilola.
Nigerians
Just to remind you.
Resident Doctors all over Nigeria are still on strike.
The pillar of the workforce of the Healthcare system in Nigeria is currently on shut down.
The work horse that powers the turbines of Medicine in Nigeria has been halted for the past 18 days.
Healthcare in Nigeria has been at an all level nadir for the past 18 days because the ATP (Resident Doctors) of the Healthcare system has been burnt out and The Nigerian Government wants to continue to overflog a flabby fatigued mitochondria .
During these period, lot of Nigerians have probably been harmed.
Families must have lost lots of loved ones due to the failure of the Nigerian government to give the Resident Doctors a listening ear.
