Misogyny is not only what you think it is.
It is a key feature of ELMA (Electorally Legitimated Misogynist Authoritarian) political projects such as #Trumpism.
My work on #misogyny & #democracy began life as a *direct* consequence of 2016 US Presidential elections.
Free to read if you wish to know how why misogyny is much more than hatred or disgust for women, how misogyny works as a political #strategy for political projects to undermine democracy, its #policy implications, ways it links to #authoritarianism and #climatechange ++
While @Conservatives broke their own rules and did this, my dad spent the last weeks of his life alone without visitors. Do not believe their lies. If they were going to do what they promise, they could’ve done it by now.

Many thanks to my co-authors @DrRotemPerach @DebbiHusbands @af_tout Ekaterina Kostyuk, James Kempley, @laura_joyner , and to the @LeverhulmeTrust for funding the research programme.

Important not to forget the basics.
A point I wanted to make on @BBC5Live but didn’t have time is:
Amid all the fears of artificial intelligence and sophisticated information operations, this Sunak-Starmer tax row shows how sometimes it’s the most basic forms of (mis)information that can have the biggest impact.

Anyone scanning the QR code is taken to this website which falsely claims Khan has committed to implementing a pay per mile scheme in London, something he has repeatedly ruled out.
No mention of Susan Hall and the Conservative party is only mentioned in smallprint at the bottom
We're seeing more examples of 'fake' newspaper style headlines used as part of political campaigning.
Parties should take care to avoid potentially misleading or deceiving voters using these campaign practices. Demand an end to this here: https://t.co/ykyiJlAzLP
