@rorysutherland I get your point, but for anyone under, well, our age... they think in celsius, giving a scale in fahrenheit just bring blank looks.. and yes, mid 30s are scorchio!
@JVMonte2 Annie Lennox singing Wichita Lineman to a small crowd a capella is high on the list.
Rosalia on the Lux tour finishing the night with Magnolias was right up there too.
John Martyn (when he was good he was really, really good).
@20th_Centurygal My setup is not dissimilar. The answer right now is Lux, by Rosalia. An album in four movements and one of the greatest pieces of musical genius in decades.

@SangitaMyska@MayorofLondon Thanks, and it won’t stop me confronting people. I’m able to use my privilege (60, but also 190cm and 105kg) to speak softly but firmly. My general line when they bark back is “what would your parents think?”. Seems to work most of the time, at least a little.
@SangitaMyska@MayorofLondon Entitlement then leads to them, when confronted, hurling excuses/accusations/labels. When I confronted someone they kept talking to on speaker, saying stuff like "what is this dead old man doing even talking to me, he shouldn't talk to me, I'm only 15" etc
@rorysutherland Indeed. I have AC installed in my house. It is my cooling system in hot periods, my heating in the winter. Highly efficient, and as we ramp up electricity generation from renewables, this means heating houses using renewable electricity rather than gas central heating.
@dhh David, when Scotland was granted devolution they gave the right to run for office (and to vote) to commonwealth and other nationalities outwith the UK.
This is not new, and reminds me of "no taxation without representation".
On a temporary visa though, seems odd for sure.
on Amazon I have discovered a book called "Infinite Jeffs" which is apparently a copy of Infinite Jest where each word has been replaced with the word "Jeff"
@rorysutherland I'm currently curious about the ability of small island states/nations may to avoid "computer says no". Some show they are able to innovate freely, others less so, but almost all seem to do it better than larger countries. Am off to Guernsey and Jersey next week to explore.
I'm 60, I've seen some incredible acts from being taken along (too young ?) in the late 70s, through the 80s and beyond. The answer changed last night, though.
Greatest concert ever ? Rosalia, the current Lux tour, best ever, by far.

@dfr10@colinmccredie Aye, when they started charging c£25 folk without the BT Sports (BT Broadband) package mostly had to pay that. Sports is pricey, I'm probably going to have to pay for Premier Sports soon as they are taking over all the Rugby (and soon all Scottish fitba, I'd guess)
