@baileyrash Absolutely. Iโm specifically referring too Saylorโs business.
If he sells the bitcoin for more than he bought it and more than than the interest, he produces cash.
- Bitcoin does produce cash through appreciation
- it hasnโt all gone belly up, its going up
- none of us are surprised you donโt get it yet
You can make this up, itโs very predictable.
>Guy borrows hundreds of millions to buy bitcoin at 11% interest.
>Bitcoin doesnโt produce any cash for said guy to pay the interest.
>Everyone surprised when it all goes belly up.
You canโt make this up.
1. The Business by definition produces cash. Yes, Bitcoin itself doesnโt cashflow, obviously. But thatโs irrelevant. That doesnโt invalidate the business model.
2. I suppose itโs semantics. All business is calculated bet taking.
3. Both businesses accept liabilities today in exchange for access to capital, relying on probabilistic forecasts about the future.
@mac51246 Huh? What other asset has the properties of bitcoin?
There is nowhere else to store value.
I believe smart money will buy into it for eternity.
@thogge@sweatystartup 1. The business model does in fact produce cash.
2. All business and investment is price speculation.
3. They raise capital, and they sell risk. Just like Strategy.
