Beshear's recent comments on data centers in Kentucky perfectly explain why governments aren't just allowing data centers but actively incentivizing them.
He stated, "Yes, we have concerns about energy prices, and we’ve got to address those. On the flip side, it could double the budget of many of our public school systems."
Do our citizens want them? No. But man, what if the government had more money? Wouldn't that make our lives better?
I understand the U.S. may need data centers, but does Kentucky need to be handing out tax incentives and cash to attract them here?
