Good post. I read Senator Murkowski’s comments. The immunity comment did seem unfair. We’re talking about where to draw the line with executive privilege regarding that. Regarding the Epstein Files, how do we know when all of them have been revealed? I never seem to get an answer about that. Abortion? SCOTUS overturned Roe v Wade. It’s more or less not subject to Federal jurisdiction.
She doesn’t like Trump and it shows.

Unbelievable. @lisamurkowski should be kicked out of the party. Her reasons are ludicrous. People have Epstein fatigue. As a senator she can examine all the files. Trump's immunity came from SCOTUS, not #Blanche. And the so-called "anti-weaponization" fund would have to be appropriated by Congress.

The principle here. Bernie Moreno is flat out gas lighting voters. He is practicing demagoguery . Republicans are allowing themselves to be bullied. I am very familiar with contentious custody cases and I see how this one with Miller and his ex wife Emily is playing out. The court takes all these allegations seriously and has no doubt investigated thoroughly. In Cuyahoga County (Ohio in general) Domestic Relations cases court orders are not attached to the docket so it is hard to tell what exactly is going on currently in the case. Miller posted documents produced from the case that are very consistent with my experience in contentious custody cases. Miller has joint custody and has personal custody of his daughter 50% of the time. My opinion is that Bernie Moreno is not happy with this arrangement. Mind you he’s the grandfather and legally he’s got basically no custodial rights in OH yet he’s funding a case to terminate Miller’s parental rights. Even though that has about zero chance of happening, Moreno’s tactics are damaging in many ways.
It isn’t so much that I support Max’s political stands, it’s two things really:
1 - Bernie Moreno’s IMO underhanded tactics
2 - Republican pundits and politicians who have little knowledge of the case weighing in with ignorance. Count Jon Husted as one of them. They just want Max gone because they’re afraid of losing a seat. I live in District 7 and IMO if Miller is replaced they will lose this seat.

I have no problem with Speaker Mike Johnson’s approach. The maddening part for me is that if Miller is replaced and subsequently vindicated we’ll hear nothing about that. The media, X posters, Republicans that all weighed in out of ignorance with an agenda in a case where a father’s custody rights are at stakes won’t care one iota about that. They’ll just be ready to repeat the process for the next opportunity to do the same thing when they feel it is in their best interest.

I know Max I think he’s a fine human being. I haven’t talked to Emily in a while. I like her, she’s always treated me and my wife well. Bernie Moreno I know too. It may surprise you but I think he’s a great guy, great political instincts, very approachable. Just don’t like how he’s handling this. I also see someone that is being very naive about how this custody case is probably going to play out.

I’ve gone on for a bit. Max is involved in other litigation related to this case. The relevant court documents are attached to the docket and I can provide more detailed info in another post. Have to run for now.

Republicans, if you force him out you can count me out of voting for any candidate you replace Miller with. Fairly certain a lot of Miller supporters in District 7 feel the same way.

Sen. Rand Paul says Dr. Anthony Fauci has no reason not to talk after the Senate voted to hold him in contempt of Congress, calling out his Biden-era presidential pardon that dates back to 2014.

Paul says the pardon covers Fauci's conduct that could potentially be criminal, meaning Fauci only needs to avoid committing a new crime to keep that immunity and should answer lawmakers' questions instead of repeatedly invoking the Fifth Amendment.

I’ve had discussions with R friends before this all went down. The word we used was double cross regarding Husted. Btw they’re not crazy about Miller either and were probably going to abstain in Nov. We’ll see how it goes.
