Due to the trauma and her medical condition, neighbors and city social services arranged for her immediate admission to a local hospital.

Then they pay wages so low and benefits so skimpy that taxpayers end up covering the tab through public assistance for their employees.
So let's call it what it is: a massive transfer of wealth from the middle class to corporate robber barons. Funny how it's "socialism" when working people get help, but it's "good business" when billion-dollar corporations have their payroll subsidized by taxpayers.
