Throughout the remarks: Dolly Levi & Dolly Parton are both excellent role models in their own ways. Butler graduates should be confident in knowledge & skills, humble & curious about the world, and compassionate and empathetic for all people as they begin their next adventure.
Coursework on social justice & diversity along with the Indianapolis community requirement should help in recognizing the differences between systemic, structural challenges and individual differences that call for empathy, freedom, and self-expression.
I’m so proud of the Butler CFA team, who just won the North American subregional competition! They are now among the top 12 teams in the US. @LacySchool @butleru
Ryan is also a former Wall Street Trek student from back in the fall semester of 2018. Inspiring for the students to see his journey from WST participant to financial professional! @butleru @LacySchool
I’m with @butleru students tonight to celebrate and support minority-owned businesses in Indianapolis with @PitchFeast and award $1000 in student-raised funds from @butler_fma to their top-ranked entrepreneur.
Butler is looking forward to participating in this year’s CFA Research Challenge, and we’re looking for interested students. #cfa@CFAsocietyindy#butleru
The CFA Research Challenge is a great opportunity that Butler students can participate in after sophomore year. This opportunity is a great way to learn about stock analytics and improve your analytical skills. Interested or have questions? Please reach out! #CFAResearchChallenge
Thanks to editors Margaret Gonglewski .@fraudrg & Mohssen Esseesy for your work on this issue and to ISLSP and CIBER for support of research on the overlap of business and language studies.
I’m excited to see the new volume of Global Business Languages available online. My article “Revisiting Languages in the International Business Curriculum” reports on curriculum at AACSB schools and offers strategies to incorporate language study. https://t.co/4QAy2UEtlc
@AimeeBenavides2@cdmellinger It was a friendly crowd here - LSP people, translators, and interpreters all know that international business relies on them. We all need to keep explaining that partnership to US biz schools (and students). The ROI on language skills and T&I literacy is considerable.
Glad to be sharing research on the intersection of business, finance, & language study at #islspciber The ROI on language skill acquisition and education is substantial! @LacySchool @butleru
It was a great event with such a variety of exhibits about food, sustainability, and justice. We got to hear from authors Dr Terri Jett @butleru & Dr Ken Foster @PurdueUnivNews Plus @TheButlerBlue stopped by!
We are excited for the Food Project Exhibition! There will be great networking opportunities and speakers at the event. If anyone is interested in joining, the event officially kicks off at 4:30 pm in the Fairview Community Room! Looking forward to seeing everyone this afternoon!
@brookelbarnett@butleru @LacySchool Thanks! It’s actually perfect timing with LSB Diversity Week coming up. Assistant Dean Brandy Mmbaga and others have put together lots of great programming (and food trucks and other fun) to celebrate and support all forms of diversity next week.
Wall Street Trek 2022 has begun! After an early morning flight, these 16 Butler students had lunch in midtown Manhattan with several days of meetings ahead with great alumni working in finance-related careers. #finance#ButlerU
It's finally here! My chapter with @TomHansonPhD looks at survey research in TI and its philosophical underpinnings. Many thanks to @Alvaro_Marin_Ga and @SandraHalvers13 for their excellent editing and support!
Congrats to Andrew, who was active in Butler’s #CFA study group and also a featured member of the @CFAsocietyindy newsletter last year. Passing Level I just six months after graduation is a fantastic start to a finance career! #ButlerU
We are excited to share the great news that #ButlerU#finance major Andrew Gast (’21) passed the Level I CFA exam. Congratulations! @LacySchool @butleru
