@ADStedman As you say, an attempt by publishers to get a position on it. I’m aware my publisher offered me 20% whilst another one 50% to a contact…although £ seems not the point here perhaps?
Also aware this platform may be less populated than before…
@ADStedman Hi Andrew, I’ve been off this platform for some time but decided to come back on to search for any dialogue about this very subject. I’ve just seen a similar email and had the exact same thought - the work has already been used/stolen/taken by AI. So is this about consent? Or /2
Visited @aspexportsmouth today to see their Platform exhibition. Really struck by the strong work on offer from everyone, including our @SolentUni @SolentPhotoUK graduate Luke Wateridge [IG: becoming_luke_]
Happy to say that my article “The Zone of Photography” on photography & magic has been published open-access with Arts here:

Thank you to editors #JeanBaird & Mark Hall @Lonewalker33 & I look forward to reading the other contributions! @SolentResearch
@The_Duck_Father Funny you mention clock. I love the clock that is no longer a clock…it’s some sort of a ruin of time (and place). Seems like an apt metaphor for everything going on!
Brilliant day today seeing @SolentUni photography students graduate. They’ve come through so much adversity in their three years and achieved so much above & beyond excellence in academic achievement. Their resilience, determination & empathy are lifelong qualities ❤️📷🎉👨🎓👩🎓
Really excited to see this brilliant project come together & nearing publication (inc my chapter ‘X-Rays: Technological Revelation and its Cultural Receptions’) eds @Sir__Ian & @_Alex_Goody for @EdinburghUP: https://t.co/HbC1dvcGV4 #modwrite#xrays#artandscience
I recently published research on the context and efficacy of ‘block teaching’ in art & design pedagogy @ADCHEjournal https://t.co/x6BI6C3jzd & so great & very timely to see @timeshighered piece ‘Is block teaching the future of university pedagogy?’ https://t.co/dEjyiO6JNr
So many reasons to visit Southampton! Following the in-conversation, we’ll also walk through the New Acquisitions exhibition @ArtGallerySoton and see the artworks in the gallery @FrithStreet @SolentUni@SolentUniNews @southampton2025

@kristiannedrake I completely appreciate what you mean about not finishing on safety car, but I’m not sure that last lap really counted as a race either. It would be like saying it’s a 5k race, but Verstappen wears running shoes & Hamilton has to wear clogs.
It’s been many years since I watched #F1 but that race finish reminded me of playing football as a boy, being 10-0 up & then the kid (whose ball it is) subverting all fairness by saying ‘next goal wins’
