@JoePublicuk1@Brick_Cop@ukhomeoffice Do you know what else penetrates doors? IEDs. Sadly, the rounds fired killed a civilian. The believed viable IED may have killed hundreds. It’s just a terrible situation for all involved. Police don’t make habit in shooting bystanders.
@jungle0out0here@_efmb_ @db_fink To a degree I would agree yes. But he comes from a family of steel workers. As soon as he landed in the company he works for now he did climb the ladder quickly but that’s because of a number of different roles he was promoted into based on his work not his friends etc.
@_efmb_ @db_fink We’re also home owners of a new build property and both have reasonably well paid jobs. I made some good investments when I was younger and saved like mad to be able to afford a deposit for a house. Just hard work and right choices sometimes.
@_efmb_ @db_fink My partner owns and drives a 2016 low mileage Porche Cayenne. He’s 24 and is a Compliance Manager for a large company. He wasn’t born into wealth and has had to work hard for everything he has. He’s just done well and it’s as simple as that 🤷🏻♂️
@RogerHu08680547@history99917180 This is highly correct. Most things these days with someone who’s had a minor verbal argument has been crimed as a S4a despite it being something so silly. Then you try and get things decrimed with clear AVI and the response you get is “on the scale of probability”…
@apointlessalias @DragonflyHypno@DiemBurden@Brick_Cop@ukhomeoffice Admin shouldn’t take priority over calls but sadly it does because who else is writing the 10+ charging rationales or NFAs, finalising old investigations, reviewing complaints, approving expenses, sickness check ins, action plans, reviewing investigative actions etc…
@ReasonableCop Mine is I have to have the same routine when I wake up in terms of what order I do things in, brush teeth, turn shower on midway brushing teeth, get in, wash face, hair, body then dry. Contacts in, face cream, body cream, deodorant, underwear, top, socks, trousers…
@gaylesian@ExInspectorBDS They still do if there’s a threat to life. Continently, every call passed over from Ambulance or Crisis has been worded so there’s a threat to life and forces police to respond…
@jam_face @poochysmelly @col43620 @MHLondon22@THTorguk In my case, the blood went into an open wound - a split lip.
The “please take extra care” does come across as stigmatising however colleagues look out for each other and I’m sure it wasn’t meant as such.
@col43620 @MHLondon22@THTorguk Attended the hospital and begun a course of prep… The information passed to me was good information for the hospital staff to decide my course of prevention.
@ManifestoLies @NormanBrennan@gmpolice@cps@policeconduct They are separate however sometimes the CPS will review them both together to assess the public interest of each case and make an assessment on the reasonable prospect of conviction based on the use of force. It’s really a pain and a long process…
