I was a Democrat almost my whole life and then I woke up to that side of the political aisle.

Trump got me to switch to the America First movement and I was very excited to be a part of a political movement that was finally going to put America First.

Then, November 2020 happened and I was completely demoralized for 4 years.

November 2024 came and I woke up that morning completely relieved when I found out Trump had won.

Beginning of 2025 I had a lot of hope.

J6ers were pardoned and deportations were happening like we were promised.

It seemed like Trump had acquired the perfect America First dream team.

All of a sudden, something changed. It wasn't gradual, it was like a flip switched and I started questioning decisions being made.

Now, Im America First but I feel like I have no political representation.

Everything being done now seems to put America last again.

Deportations slowed, highest ever gas prices which will lead to the highest ever inflation.

Most of America is completely unaware what is happening except they know they can't afford anything.

When's our breaking point?

When do we get America back?

I watched my friend Helen lose her husband during Covid and have to pick four of her seven children to attend his funeral, meanwhile Roy Cooper allows HUNDREDS to attend the third George Floyd funeral in North Carolina and even sends his envoy, Jeremy Collins, with a personal message from himself. Collins presented the family with a North Carolina flag that had flown over the State Capitol.

Nope. I’m not voting for, nor will I ever support Roy Cooper.

I HAVE A VERY SIMPLE QUESTION

We keep hearing that America must build them immediately to “win the AI race” against China. Fine. Then spell out the use case.

What applications require this extraordinary buildout? National defense? Intelligence? Autonomous weapons? Financial markets? Government surveillance? Digital identity? Robotics? Medical research? Consumer AI? All of the above?

Because “AI is the future” is not an adequate answer when communities are being asked to absorb massive power demand, water consumption, new transmission infrastructure, diesel backup generation, persistent low frequency noise, utility costs, and potentially the taking of private property through eminent domain to support the electrical infrastructure these facilities require.

And there is another question that deserves an answer: What exactly are we racing China to build?

If the argument is that China will dominate America unless we blanket the country with hyperscale computing infrastructure, then the American public deserves to see the underlying numbers, objectives and national strategy.

How much compute capacity does the United States actually need?

For what purposes?

By what date?

Where should it logically be located?

Who pays for the generation and transmission infrastructure?

Who receives the economic benefit?

Who bears the environmental and community costs?

And what protections prevent this enormous computing capacity from eventually being used for mass surveillance, social scoring, autonomous decision making or government control over Americans?

We have all seen the science fiction warnings, including Terminator. Obviously, that is fiction. But the underlying question is legitimate: before constructing unprecedented amounts of centralized computational power, shouldn't Americans know what we intend to do with it?

This does not mean America should abandon AI or stop building data centers.

It means “China” cannot become a magic word that eliminates scrutiny.

Build what America genuinely needs. Put it where the power, water and infrastructure can support it. Protect private property. Protect ratepayers. Protect communities. Demand state of the art environmental standards.

But first, tell us the mission.

What is the actual national use plan that makes this buildout so urgent?

Because asking Americans to surrender land, infrastructure capacity, water, cheap electricity and quality of life based upon nothing more specific than “trust us, AI is the future” is precisely why the public is pushing back.
