@DanNeidle@dan_obvious@KitsonJ1 If you account for these things in the UK, you have to go back to the European bit and add in the things for them which feel like taxes. And then the utility of the analysis is hugely diminished.
@DanNeidle@dan_obvious@KitsonJ1 The origin of this thread was a comment suggesting that you account for student loans in your analysis of the tax burden. That's a slippery slope. For many, utility bills, licence fee etc. feel like a tax (and share many features).
