Reducing complex crises like homelessness to cruelty isn’t just wrong — it’s lazy. The reality is high housing costs, low wages, and structural barriers. Thankfully, there are people working every day to restore dignity and opportunity. We need more of them, not more rhetoric.
Unlike the hosts of the President’s favorite morning show, I’m against the government killing citizens who can’t afford a place to live and suffer from mental health issues
I'm just incredibly sad for his family and his young kids, genuinely shaken about where this country is headed, and praying that we can find a way to walk ourselves back from the brink.
We all have agency here. We all have the ability to choose our words carefully even as we forcefully defend our beliefs. We all have the capacity for grace. We don't have to make things worse.
In the last few years we've seen:
- The plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer
- The Storming of the Capitol and pipe bombs left at the RNC and DNC
- The break-in to kidnap Nancy Pelosi and the brutal on Paul Pelosi
- Multiple assassination attempts against Trump
- The assassination of Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shooting of on State Senator John Hoffman and his wife
- Luigi Mangione's assassination of Brian Thompson
- The assassination of Charlie Kirk
Political violence is contagious. It is spreading. It is not confined to one side or belief system. It should terrify us all.
The foundation of a free society is the ability to participate in it without fear of violence. Political violence is always an attack against us all. You have to be so blind not to see that.
Conversation or violence. That’s the ultimate choice. You can’t have both. Anyone who celebrates violence has no fucking idea what it’s like to live in real political disorder and their ignorance is a luxury of having lived a privileged life in a stable society.

As disconcerting as it can be, it is a high privilege to live in a country where you don't know who is going to win an election tomorrow. Highly unusual in human history.
A message from Mayor Keith A. James:
“The City of West Palm Beach has been working continuously to get our City restored and fully operational. I am pleased to report that all trees have been removed from our roads and all water issues handled successfully. We are in the final stage of completing our damage assessment, and I expect all efforts will be completed, including the demobilization of our emergency operations center in the coming hours. I am proud of the City’s quick response to this horrific natural disaster. West Palm Beach fared well considering the devastation of property and loss of life that occurred in neighboring municipalities.”
“…we owe it to our community to fully support Vanderbilt’s investment. I think together, the county, the city, Vanderbilt, we can ensure future generations…of Palm Beach County residents, of West Palm Beach residents will have the opportunities to prosper.” —@MayorKeithJames
“This event is a testament to our commitment to supporting and empowering our small business community in WPB. By encouraging collaboration and providing vital resources, we ensure our local entrepreneurs have the tools to thrive in today's competitive landscape.”

This bill will leave children with fewer resources in their already underfunded classrooms and fewer teachers and staff to meet their needs. Sending tax dollars to unaccountable, corporate-run private schools is just wrong. 2 of 3
Manuel and Patricia Oliver were just kicked out of this committee hearing on gun violence. Patricia said one thing and the chair escalated the entire situation. Then, Police arrested Manuel Oliver who lost his son in the Parkland shooting.
His son was shot to death.
