That December 2023 game was so fun!! Kohl Center was full of black and gold, as were the Madison bars/restaurants after the game. Lots of Happy Hawk Fans!!!
It's obviously not the insane scene from two seasons ago, but there's as much black and gold in the building as anything else today. Big cheer for Taylor Stremlow in the starting lineup.
#Hawkeyes and Badgers moments away.
An amazing production--we are so blessed with talented, hard working school children who make the program so magical, as well as with teachers, choir program leaders, and school administration who are committed to this wonderful tradition!! Thank you for all your efforts!!!
True nobility lies within! 👑 With a timeless tale about a noble quest to defeat the knights and win the lady’s heart, students gave their final performance tonight of the 46th Annual JHS Madrigal.
Since 1979, the JHS choirs have presented the Madrigal at the beginning of each holiday season, taking audience members back to Merrie Olde England, circa 1475. A delightful event surrounding the audience with songs of the season. 🎶🎄🌹🕯️👑
@keithmurphy@johnsears maybe it’s time for a @SoundOFF13 Mount Rushmore of Iowa prep footballers who excelled on Super Bowl winning teams in the NFL. Hard to beat: Roger Craig, Kurt Warner, Tristan Wirfs, and Vern Den Herder.

JHS senior Emma Gray — who plays volleyball, basketball, track and softball — was tonight named Golden Rule’s Primetime Friday Scholar Athlete and won a $500 scholarship!
The scholarship acknowledges Emma’s academic and athletic achievements. Golden Rule Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical sponsors the segment, which aired on WHO 13's Football Friday Primetime before tonight’s football game in Ankeny.
Of all the cool things I learned at this year’s @IowaStateFair the best by far is that @IowaPBS plans a documentary about one of Iowa’s greatest’s citizens, General Grenville Dodge. Can’t wait!!! Great work @IowaPBS!!

Absolutely fabulous to spend time on the road with @Nicole4ABI and @Brad4ABI on my final day. I will miss days on the road with them. I will miss those days a great deal.
Jay Higgins says that Nebraska’s captains didn’t shake Iowa’s hands pregame. Also says that Matt Rhule walked through the Iowa warmup lines. Goes into detail about the situation.
“Come to Iowa. Be a Hawk. See the difference.”
Man I'm gonna miss this dude.
In the era of NIL and the transfer portal. Loyalty is becoming rarer and rarer.
Jay Higgins waited 3 years in a stacked LB room and then anchored Iowa Football for his final 2 years.
One of the truest dudes to ever don the black and gold.
Thank you to both Officer Steck and Officer Kerr, along with all the members of the @Johnston_PD for all you do to partner with @JohnstonCSD and their students!! Here is to another great school year. Go Dragons!!!
