I don't really get why people care so much about where other people choose to live. You want to live in a city? Knock yourself out. You want to live in the suburbs, fantastic! You want to live in a rural area with lots of land and dark skies? Sounds awesome.
You do you.
@SutterlinDan@jane_a_2023@talexratcliffe There are exits that precede ramps to other highways. If people create bumper to bumper traffic in the right line for miles, folks wanting to use the penultimate exit would be forced to wait simply because people can't grasp the concept of zipper merging.
@talexratcliffe It works every day on my way to work... entrance ramps from one highway to another start off with a two lanes, merge down to one before feeding into a lane on the connecting highway. It's wild that people think this is difficult and doens't work.
@CJGRISHAM With 8.4 million people in the area, thousands among millions isn't a big surprise among the rabid anti-Trump voters.
I think he fared well in the primaries and as a placeholder candidate. But the more folks see his rhetoric, the creepier they will realize he actually is.
@RMConservative What percentage of rural land do you think will be used by data centers? I've seen some wacky anti-DC arguments lately, but this one really takes the cake.
@bishara@RobJohn20131536 $4/hr * 40 hours * 52 weeks = $8320 a year. Even if they worked 40 hours overtime at $6/hr, that'd be $20800. Neither of which is $30k a year.
Don't expect anyone to take you seriously if you can't do simple math before you make wild assertions.
Did you know that you can invest your HSA funds and take future withdrawals against past purchases if you save your receipts? Instead of spending $500 today on eligible purchases with HSA, you use post-tax dollars today... let the $500 grow tax-free over the next 20-40 years, and withdraw tax free later.
@alejandro_estay@davepl1968@redpillb0t True... and I remember you making this same argument about other consumers of water that have such impacts like agriculture, energy production, or semi-conductor fabs... so we know it's not a new fixation, you've been logically consistent this whole time.
@jacoblevett1@ThomasEWoods Yes... when we think about business people using government contracts, patents, copyrights, we immediately think of Donald Trump Jr. and not Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Warren Buffet, Jeff Bezos, Jensen Huang, Sam Walton, Mark Zuckerberg, etc.
The dipshit doesn't prove the rule.
@zulways@grok evaluate this claim in terms of the median American liquid net worth. Exclude money tied up in real estate and retirement accounts. Focus on checking, savings, and investment accounts.
@Boenau I really don't understand the point of this post. It is a choice right now. If you want to live somewhere that doesn't require a car, move there. If you want to live in the suburbs or a rural area, do it.
@Kamalascac72845@SubduedRadical It's a motte and bailey tactic. Talarico says "God is non-binary" and "trans children are made in God's image" to push gender theory. Challenged, he retreats to the safe "God is neither man nor woman." Pure theology wouldn't need the loaded modern term.
