Very soon there are going to be more AI agents than humans making transactions.
They can’t open a bank account, but they can own a crypto wallet. Think about it.
Trump calls on banks to cede ground on stablecoin yields in market structure talks: “They need to make a good deal with the Crypto Industry.”
“The Banks are hitting record profits, and we are not going to allow them to undermine our powerful Crypto Agenda.” https://t.co/Y1ZfL0hqEf
Stablecoin rules in the UK are being finalized, and are at risk of preventing the UK from being globally competitive in the digital economy.
For example, the Bank of England is proposing a cap on stablecoin holdings for individuals and businesses.
The UK has a long history of being a financial hub. Embracing and encouraging innovation, especially when other countries are moving fast here, is important for maintaining that. The current direction of the rules does the opposite, and will act as an innovation blocker.

The UK is a great country with an extraordinary history. Our stagnation is real, but it's fixable and worth fixing.
Enjoyed giving this talk at @lfg_uk last week and so encouraged by the optimistic responses I've had from people who are building a brilliant future for Britain 🚀
I've been using Natwest as a bank for 5+ years and have moved millions through it. Albeit I haven't had a great experience with them, I have never been in a situation like today.
Trying to move £50,000 to my Revolut and they flagged it. Hopped on a call trying to get it authorised but they straight up said we won't do that and will revert it because I planned to purchase Crypto with that money.
They cited it's part of their terms and services EVEN if the account holder gives approval.
Absolutely stupid. I will look into closing my account after this.
How can they just hold your money hostage even WHILST you are literally telling them as the account holder what you are doing with the money? Especially when its not a new account and has so much history?

Great to see Stand With Crypto getting such strong support in the UK!
The UK needs to be a key player in global crypto development and adoption. The stats are clear - voters want crypto progress.
There are ~150k @StandWCrypto_UK sign ups in the UK now, and 1,000+ people showed up at the first UK rally this week. Pressure is on, excited to see this momentum continue.
IMF MD, "Accept reality, fiat money is moving digital. The developments in both backed, and unbacked crypto are happening at an exponential speed. So, you can try to walk your country away from this - [if you do] good luck with that!"
BREAKING: IMF Chief Kristalina Georgieva on crypto regulation:
Key points:
- Blockchain ≠ crypto, it’s a tech for tokenizing assets & money
- Digital fiat, stablecoins & CBDCs are reshaping finance
- 97% of stablecoins are USD-backed, risks currency substitution
- IMF warns of fragmentation, urges global coordination
- “Accept reality, money is going digital. You can’t lock yourself away.”
Great progress for crypto in the UK today. This new task force will help bring the global financial system into the 21st century.
Kudos to @RachelReevesMP and @SecScottBessent for making it happen. I'm proud that Coinbase is able to support on this.
Great to be in London today to meet with policymakers on how the UK can position itself competitively in the global race for crypto.
This is a pivotal moment - hopeful the UK seizes this opportunity to solidify its position as a global leader in crypto. Bullish on Britain! @Tomduffgordon
Three thoughts:
- It’s amazing how quickly and adroitly the President and his team execute on fulfilling his campaign promises. Agree or disagree on the underlying policy, the bias for action is impressive.
- BTC adoption is massive and growing globally, including by sovereigns. For the US to stand by and not manage its already enormous BTC reserves strategically would be a mistake.
- The world will follow. The adoption trend line is already upward and to the right. With the US now acting decisively, the risks of inaction have now gone up significantly.
Young Indian engineers like Roshan want to stay home rather than being forced abroad— but they need better access to funding to build global products and companies and not just low paying back-end services. Crypto can do this! All Indian engineers need is balanced regulations that give them that chance.
Proud of my colleagues in the US for highlighting crypto debanking practices. It happens in the UK too. It happened to me, and I have lost count of the number of people who have told me they face similar issues. It's time to stand together for a more inclusive financial system.
Thrilled to have another expert in international finance and development in @lamorenolam come aboard. No one is better suited to help us leverage the opportunity for crypto to eliminate global financial friction and increase economic freedom all over the world.
@Coinbase’s Global Advisory Council benefits from some of the brightest minds in finance, tech, geopolitics, and politics, and it just got better with the addition of Senator @kyrstensinema, Trump Campaign Senior Advisor @ChrisLaCivita, former @NewYorkFed President Bill Dudley, and former @the_IDB President @lamorenolam. Diverse perspectives and strategic insights are crucial to our mission of promoting economic freedom and navigating the evolving environment for crypto policy in the U.S. and around the world.

Cryptocurrency is shaping the future of finance. Governments must support a balanced framework that encourages growth while ensuring security and trust. Let’s embrace the opportunities of a digital economy! #Cryptocurrency#Innovation@DECAustralia
Last night, Stand with Crypto Australia launched. Big shoutout to Aussie web3 innovators: @equil_labs@Hashlock_ @oshi_au for showcasing the future of crypto in Australia.
A huge thanks to Simon Kennedy MP for supporting the movement to #StandWithCryptoAU
Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong created one of crypto’s central players, a fee-gushing monster that holds more than a tenth of all the Bitcoin ever minted. But now, in the cause of “decentralization,” he’s pursuing a new path. https://t.co/EkFBjQ17d5
