In different countries of north-western Europe, a region where fire risk is rising due to climate change, our goal was to describe the rate of large fire spread and the associated variation in seasonality and land cover.
Our goal is to characterize fire behavior and fuel moisture in temperate ecosystems of northwestern Europe, and this is just the first step toward that end.
