@xLiserx Lisa, you own your own Sh*t. I own mine. One thing that is absolutely missing in any situation where groups are polarized is the refusal to share personal experience. I won’t say I want to hear about every burb or something, but when we can identify w/each other we love more.
@ryan180becker I once lived in a town where McDonalds made better tostadas than the Taco Bell. Hard to count on from store to store in Chatt. In my experience, the TB in Hixson has most consistently well made food. (As far as TB food goes anyway).
@xLiserx @xLiserx Family is made up of who surrounds you in your life during good times, but especially during challenging times. Family is not necessarily who you’re blood says you’re related to. Think of one of those dark moments, a time of grief or pain. Who was at your side? Family.
If a document or report clearly exonerated me from specific wrongdoing, I would publish the report in every news paper that would print it. Of course if the same document proved I’d committed other wrong acts unrelated, I would burn it and ride out the storm.
@backcreekpastor Well, you’d be right in organizations that “ordain” women to that office. This church never has and is in the midst of a crisis over the role of women in leadership. A crisis that very well may cost the church everything.
@backcreekpastor Similar experience with my Dad/hero. He was a pastor and in 1984, supported his associate pastor, a woman, to baptize her students. Petitions for his removal were started. But that wasn’t as disappointing as the letter written stating the students baptisms didn’t count.
@Pombito82 There’s a vast difference in being the “Remnant Church” and sharing the “Remnant Message”. Sharing the latter does not require membership in the former. God will not wait for the former to accept the latter. He will move forward. The former may not ever catch up.
