Really a fan of the idea that because God Is Beauty, Beauty is something to immerse yourself in. Seeing beauty as such is a constant dialogue, using reality to perfect your principles which in turn are measured against reality once more.
Progress. This is my first time really leaning in to the golden section as a base for proportioning the design. The old masters had one or two good ideas
The entire project was designed and drafted with graphite on watercolor paper. The rendering was completed with home made India ink and watercolor washes.
@OVTweetmarck Bro it’s so great to see your problems evolve to stuff like this. I’m happy for you and praying you get the house, marry the girl, and nail the deadline!
@OldHollowTree I wonder if it’s the absence of beauty. Maybe at first the novelty of an Elmo or a Barney did the trick, but when everything’s novel nothing is. Beauty is not novel and, I think to a kid, frequently boring, but it has staying power.
@mjstallman@ErikBootsma Harbeson is the OG beaux arts guy, great for watercolor. Specifics (IE how to stretch your paper, how to hold a brush etc) I was also taught in person. https://t.co/1guZ0Qcuj8
NEW: Matt Walsh calls for a “Nuremberg” trial for Planned Parenthood—accusing the abortion giant of crimes against humanity.
Based.
“Planned Parenthood should be forcibly shut down by law. I mean, the entire organization should just be banned, and all of its executives and employees at every level of the company should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. There should be a Nuremberg for Planned Parenthood executives.”

Congress is still funding Planned Parenthood with your tax dollars. It's time for that to end.
@Citizen815 They are ink washes with watercolors added. Most of my education came from BC, but ND certainly didn’t hurt. I think a lot of theorizing of the orders gets a lil weird, at ND and elsewhere. Best to learn them and study precedent? I have made analytiques, but I need to improve
Lots of #classical#architecture posting here. A recurrent theme asks why we can't have more beautiful buildings.
We can and will - thanks to the tireless discipleship of masters and students in the West's rare few remaining #classical_architecture schools.
Come see and support the work of the classical architecture program @BenedictineKS on February 14-15.
This school and event would be very good for classical architecture accounts to cover and spread the word. The work these students are doing is the foundation for the future of the movement. Let's get their work and their potential out in front of the world.
