@allenanalysis I get your point, and your inference (or outright accusation) may be right. But, in point of fact, people do make speculative moves like this all the time. Without any “insider” knowledge.
@Eric_Blair_2000@franklinisbored@elonmusk Which is what happens when a POTUS fashions an adversarial relationship with everyone in politics who opposes him in any way.
@CaseyAPratt Except that at least two of the five proposals put forth involved zero public funding. Owners now realize that private funding (and ownership) is the most profitable path. I’m not saying that Fisher’s proposals were viable, but owners and MLB would prefer to keep public $ out.
@asafsagi@SpannersReady Every pro sports franchise on earth includes a “conduct and behavior” clause. When you are paid millions to represent a team and a sport you in fact are NOT allowed to use “whatever words you want”.
@Mideastburrito@KNBR@knbrmurph@MarkusBoucher No way was this intended as “racist”, no reasonable person would see it that way. But “M&M” are bottom feeders pandering to the absolute lowest common denominator. Making fans dumber with every show with a dull mix of “hot-take” shock BS and pandering. Pure nonsense by Murph.
@damnuboring@SpannersReady Nobody is “babying” anyone. We don’t know what plan or agreement McLaren went to the grid with, but LN made a fine start. I’ll assume that both drivers were given the “no late passes, no contact” directive, and Piastri pushed that a bit.
@DLMusicUS@dararah1m@sportslarryk What MLB professional told you that?? Which knowledgeable person with “inside info” led you to believe any of this? You are speculating and making assumptions.
@SFGiants241 @BenKaspick Within the professional MLB community you won’t find a person who doesn’t respect Zaidi. Some feel his approach is “particular”, but nobody doubts his intelligence. How a bunch of clowns on SM think they “know the truth about Zaidi” but all of MLB has been fooled is a mystery.
