@DrewGarrison Is it really possible though? They could’ve improved at LB and DT today in Chenal and Hall for a combined 15 mil and some change from an APY standpoint and chose not to. I just don’t see them being interested between the contract (which is team friendly) and draft capital.

@JamesRapien @Ben_Baby Exactly. He’s not signing any tender anytime soon if he was tagged. While the team can rescind the tag until the tender is signed, that works in Trey’s favor as well. Also helps him in a tag and trade scenario. There’s absolutely no incentive to sign the tender early.

@JoeGoodberry Yep. And on designed blitzes, Browning’s completion percentage was 80% compared to 50% for Burrow. Browning’s time to throw was over a second quicker in those situations too. 1.95 seconds to 2.99 seconds.

@JoeGoodberry Well the Bengals gave Knight more of his contract fully guarranteed than what they gave Jenkins a year prior. So there’s the incentive on the new language. With Stewart, you give more money upfront. Let’s say they give him 75% of his bonus upfront over 50%. That may do the trick.

@JoeGoodberry I agree with your take on both. But I did see some reports on that both parties did try to agree on an RPA so Stewart did participate and that didn’t work out. So I don’t know man. We have a front office with years of experience still struggling to get deals done.

@JoeGoodberry @Firststarlog Good explanation. So the Bengals want the new language, Stewart’s camp would do that if there’s more money upfront, Bengals said no. So Hiler said if the payout schedule is the same as Mims, then give us the same language as Mims. Do I have a fair takeaway from this?

@JoeGoodberry I hear ya. So if it is new to then it boils down to how the contract is worded? Which could be a little iffy it is new to them as nothing is perfect out of the gate. Brandt gave some better examples on his latest pod.
