My kids are playing with an old nitrile glove. Filled with water. With a face drawn on it. It's called... 'Handy'. It's being repeatedly and recklessly probed. It'll no doubt explode over something expensive. If this isn't an episode of Bluey, then it should be. @OfficialBlueyTV
The pandemic happened, they had another kid, got Rad bikes, the rest is history. But anyway, that dude from Twitter he bought it off? None other than Atlanta's finest, @LukesBeard. Small world! The bike is now on my front porch. Worth saving? I'll let you know.
[Storytime!] It rained last night in Atlanta. A lot. A lot lot. So this morning, I took the kids out to explore the few back alleys in our neighborhood, where they could jump in puddles, poke things with sticks and generally get gross.
...who gave me contact deets for the owner. I felt bad about such a cool piece of design being reclaimed by nature. Turns out, he'd bought the bike from a dude on Twitter. It worked great. Then, to quote his wife "It stopped working in spectacular fashion". π
@LukesBeard@hellotushy Love how they get the turny knob on this model to work double duty: The luxury feel and appeal of wood, but also a visual representation of what the toilet bowl will look like after you use it.
Apologies if you and Craig have already covered this or something similar. I have a lot of episodes to catch up on! I recall mentions of how useful hair/wardrobe/makeup is in character description, so was just wondering if this was a unique case. Thanks!
@johnaugust There's a note O'Bannon + Shusett include on a draft of Alien (1979): βThe crew is unisex and all parts are interchangeable for men or women.β Maybe worth exploring as a Scriptnotes topic? Why this may/may not be a valid script approach for your story?
WAT? These boys out here looking like a cut-price Monkees tribute band, jerking all robot-clockwork court-jester-on-cocaine, spray-on-jeans, ice dancing with no ice, strutting & pointing like they just won Β£2.47 on the 2p push machine at a seaside arcade

The other day a notification popped upon my phone from the handy Google Assistant, with the heading:
"Lights Out"
... followed by...
"You usually say this around this time, would you like me to perform this action?"
It was half past nine in the evening.
On a Saturday.
At dinner:
Me: Rollo, what animal would you be?
Rollo: A fox, cos I love their teeth.
Me: What about Romilly?
A lion.
And Mummy?
Mummy'd be a lion too.
What about me?
You'd be a fish.
A fish? What type of fish?
A fat one.
Why?
Because you're the fattest in the family
Massive old oak fell down last night on our street. Thankfully no one hurt. And now I know why good roof insurance is a thing here in GA.
