Tomo

Personal AI for real humans

[1Password @1Password]

Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAI’s @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. 🎉

We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.

1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent can’t see or take possession of the credentials.

The agent gets the task done, but it doesn’t get your passwords..

You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

Tomo is acquiring Fae.

There are hundreds of personal AI companies.

But one of them got added to more group chats with Tomo than any other: Fae

Instead of battling it out, Fae’s community is coming home to @tomo.

Together, we're building AI for everyday people.

We’re releasing Tomo Anonymous Relays

Users can relay messages to other people through Tomo, even if the recipient isn't on Tomo yet.

Real Tomo users have used this feature to
- see what friends want for their birthday
- send compliments just because
- matchmake their friends and themselves
- ask someone to go to homecoming with them

A classifier model prevents Tomo from relaying any hateful messages.

We’re releasing this because it further enables people to use Tomo's network to thoughtfully interact with one another. And because it’s fun.

We’re releasing Tomo Interest Groups.

The video below is an actual Tomo Interest Group interaction that a user shared with us (names anonymized)

As Tomo learns more about you, it places you in group chats with other Tomo users pursuing similar goals.

When Tomo offered this to 100 users studying for the LSAT, 60% of them opted-in and got placed into group chats with other Tomo users. They then traded notes and coordinated group study sessions, facilitated by Tomo.

As more users join Tomo than ever before, they contribute to a pool of people with shared intentions waiting to discover each other.

We’re rolling this out to more Tomo users with proven interests in hobbies, sports, careers, and side quests, because people go further together.

this weekend, tomo
> 🚗 booked me a Zipcar
> 🎣 bought me fishing gear
> 🦑 taught me how to clean squid
> 🦀 told me what kind of crabs I caught

9.9/10 - now it just needs to teach me how to catch FISH 🐟

Tomo can now call others on your behalf ☎️

Tomosapiens have shared that their Tomos have called groups like
- R&G Lounge “in case they don’t speak English” (?)
- The National Park Service to secure a camping spot
- The Church of Scientology to find out who manufacturers their pamphlets (???)

We hope this makes it a little easier for everyday people to surf, or do whatever it is you’ve been putting off, by Tomorrow

📨

[Justin Quan @justoutquan]

You've got mail

We’re releasing Tomo Inbox.

Tomo often inspires users to embark on (exciting!) adventures that sometimes requires seeking information over (boring) email.

Tomo can now send emails to different groups on your behalf without using your own email nor making you to create a new one.

Tomosapiens have shared that they’ve used Tomo Inbox to
- Book a Mariachi band to surprise their long distance girlfriend
- Email 20 restaurants in Venezuela to locate a ring that went missing while on a trip there
- (Accidentally) confess to a crush

It’s another way for everyday people to close the gap between idea and action and have more reasons to forward to Tomorrow

Reading 1 page of writing from a kiddo trying their best feels like a breath of fresh air after after reading 1000 outputs written by nervously RL’ed coding agents

the kids are gonna be alright

So glad GPT Live 1 is finally out. @tomo just added real-time voice calls instead of only texting it through iMessage, and having something that actually remembers everything I've used it for the past year and a half on a live phone call is insane!

[Tomo @tomo]

*ring ring*

“hello?”

“is your refrigerator running?”

“yeah?”

“Then you should run and catch it. here’s your running app to run the 5 remaining miles you promised to yourself this week. Also in case your refrigerator wasn’t running, I found a handyman to-“

[Justin Quan @justoutquan]

Today, we’re releasing a preview version of Tomo Voice. Tomosapiens can talk with their Tomo by calling the phone number they already text with, powered by OpenAI Live.

In rare cases, your Tomo may also decide to call you first.

Calling is especially joyful knowing that Tomo can take real-world actions and update your garden of apps with a realtime verifiable trail of texts and images.

Voice is another step towards making accomplishing more in life even more delightful for everyday people.

It’s been a ton of fun to try. I hope you pick up!

"Tomo, spend a billion dollars. Make no mistakes."

[Justin Quan @justoutquan]

The first-ever purchase made on Tomo came from a user in Hawaii who started using it because she'd always wanted to learn Japanese. Tomo spent $81 on a Japanese textbook for her.

Next came $55 whey protein from a user working with Tomo to get in shape, then a $109 sunrise alarm clock from a user working with Tomo to sleep better.

Consumers let their personal agent make purchases when they trust that it has their best interests in mind.
Pushing people towards their personal ambitions is a great way to start building that trust among everyday people: purchasing items as aspirational as a textbook earns the right to purchase items as mundane as toilet paper.

We’re partnering with Stripe so that tomosapiens can approve purchases directly through Link, further closing the gap between aspiration and action for real people.
