Jiribam, Manipur | September 15, 2026: Two unarmed Kuki women were reportedly shot dead at Leisangphai, also known as Muktokhal, in Jiribam District on Tuesday afternoon.
The attack took place at approximately 3:00 PM on September 15, 2026. The victims were identified as Pi Chonga Sitlhou, 60, wife of late Seidou Sitlhou, and Ng. Kimneo Singson, daughter of Paosei Singson.
The report states that Pi Chonga Sitlhou was gathering firewood on her farm when she was shot. Ng. Kimneo Singson, who had recently completed her nursing course and had returned home to help her parents with farming, was also shot and killed at the same location.
Both victims were reportedly unarmed female civilians engaged in routine activities at the time of the incident.
The incident report attributes the killings to NSCN-IM and ZUF-K, placing the attack amid a reported series of attacks involving Kuki civilians across Jiribam, Tamenglong and Noney districts.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over the safety of civilians in the region and the continuing violence in Manipur.

@IndiaTodayNE Hello presstitude @IndiaTodayNE,
dare to name the terrorist attackers - NSCN-IM & ZUF-K. If you are scared to tell the truth, stop being in this profession. Itโs not for cowards/propagandists like you. Just shameful/disgusting to the core. Everyone knows the culprits except you.
#TheHillJournal : The protest came two days after a medical team travelling from Kangpokpi towards PHC T. Waichong under security escort was allegedly intercepted and assaulted by a mob at Chawangkining.

๐จ URGENT โ PROTECT KUKI ANCESTRAL VILLAGES
Today, the KukiCommunity is deeply concerned over reports of burning and armed attacks along the IT Road, including Teikhang Village, allegedly involving NSCN-IM, ZUF/Kamson Group, Shan National Army/Junta military, and other armed elements.
Serious allegations have also been raised regarding the alleged role or coordination of United Naga Council, Senapati District Students, JTM, NPO, ANSAM and political representatives, including Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho. These allegations must be independently investigated and verified, and anyone found responsible must face strict legal action.
There are further allegations that weapons, ammunition, RPGs and drones are being supplied through networks connected to the Meitei community, Meitei CSOs, Meitei political representatives and across the Myanmar border. We demand an immediate investigation into the sources and supply chains of such weapons.
The KukiCommunity is also concerned that Cobra teams and Central forces may conduct operations primarily in Kuki ancestral areas while allegedly ignoring armed elements operating from Kacha Naga-dominated areas who are reportedly advancing toward Kuki villages.
We demand equal protection, impartial security operations and immediate action to protect Kuki civilians and ancestral villages.

MBC, WHERE IS YOUR CHRISTIAN WITNESS?
Ms. Tina Sitlhou Eugene, daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Vumthang Sitlhou, former General Secretary of the Manipur Baptist Convention who was brutally murdered on May 13 by Tangkhul NSCN-IM and their stooges ZUF-Kamson expresses profound grief and disappointment over the response of the Manipur Baptist Convention.
She observes that as a Christian institution, the MBC is expected to be at the forefront of advocating peace, reconciliation, truth, and justice for all victims without distinction. However, she notes with concern that the MBC has been vocal in seeking justice for six Naga individuals while failing to demonstrate similar urgency in pursuing peace and justice for other victims, including her late father.
She further questions whether Christian leadership has become selective in nature, emphasizing that justice should not be determined on the basis of ethnicity. She reiterates that Christianity does not endorse partiality, as Christ did not sacrifice Himself for a single tribe, nor did He command love to be confined to one's own community alone.

No doubt, Republic TV has repeatedly appeared more interested in unneccessary talking points than in carefully examining truth and evidence.
Facts should come before narratives, and serious allegations deserve proper verification rather than speculation or selective reporting.
Republic TV has, in our view, misrepresented the Khulmi Bridge and the Kuki-Zo community through inaccurate reporting. Such claims should be backed by verified facts and credible evidence.
Once again, sections of Meitei supporters appear to be amplifying the false narrative. The truth should be established through facts, not misinformation or selective reporting.

NSCN-IM and ZUF attacked Leilon Vaiphei village, injuring three Kuki-Zo villagers who were admitted to RIMS Hospital. As expected a Meitei crowd has allegedly surrounded the hospital raising serious concerns about the safety of the injured Kuki-Zo patients. #NSCNIM#ZUFK#Meitei
@rlungleng Tangkhul kid goes around spreading disinfo. Be alert, he disguises himself as political commentator, etc. to fool Nagas of Nagaland. Heโs accusing armed forces so that they side with Tangkhuls which they already do. Several villages burned down by NSCN-IM in @crpfindia presence.
Manipur : L.Munlui Village Authority strongly condemns the attack on Leilon Munlui Kuki Village by NSCN-IM & ZUF-K where 3 Village Volunteers sustained serious injuries and urge to the concern authorities to take strict action against those responsible.

When individuals who have occupied the highest offices in government and law enforcement resort to branding entire communities with ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ labels, they do more than express a personal opinionโthey ๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ท๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ ๐๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐.
The Kuki community has produced soldiers, civil servants, scholars, political leaders and public servants who have contributed immensely to Manipur and India. To reduce an entire people to a derogatory stereotype is not a reflection of historical truthโit is a reflection of the ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ผ๐น๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ต๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ that have fueled Manipur's prolonged crisis.
This man is a former IPS officer and former DGP of Manipur, yet he is referring to Kukis as โnomads,โ despite the fact that Manipurโs previous DGP, P. Doungel, was himself a Kuki IPS officer who served with distinction before taking voluntary retirement in 2023.
When those who have held the highest offices indulge in such rhetoric, it only deepens divisions and fuels hatred from the top down.
This hostility is not going to solve anything in Manipur. Every community has contributed to the nation in its own way. The constant obsession with proving one tribe is superior to another has consumed the state, and the reality is that no community will emerge victorious from this race. The only thing increasing every day is the suffering of ordinary people and the body bags.

Wow. Meiteis truly are a fascination when it comes to creating problems for themselves and then perfecting the role of the victim.
First, they deliberately and forcibly crossed zones that were clearly unsafe by any reasonable standard. Their own recklessness triggered a fresh escalation, and then cry
โWhy are Meiteis always left to fend for their lives?โ
Let us not pretend we forgot what happened. While most of the Meitei were busy celebrating Sangai Festival n dancing to the tune of Blue band ,ignoring their own IDPs. It was a combined force of state and central security personnel that tried to reason with them. Those efforts were met with resistance, drama, and open defiance. De-escalation failed not because it was impossible, but because cooperation was never the intention of Meiteis.
Let us also be clear about something else. Everyone understands the pain of IDPs wanting to return home. We do. Even the Kuki Zo people miss our homes too. But any reasonable person knows that returning without trust, safety, or resolution is not bravery. It is reckless. At this point who even wants to,right?
What is truly baffling is the belief n the mindset of Meiteis who thinks that only their needs and demands matter, even though they have benefited the most when it comes to compensation for the displaced in this conflict. Every other concern is dismissed as an inconvenience, something to be brushed aside and ignored.
Why should unresolved core issues be ignored just to force an empty display of peace that risks lives and destabilizes everyone else?
The pattern is always the same. When things go wrong because of their own actions, the blame shifts easily. Sometimes it is the incompetency of security forces, even though those same forces are clearly doing everything within their limits to calm the situation. They are resisted, provoked, and mocked. And when tension inevitably rises, the finger is pointed at the Kuki Zo, because blaming us has long been normalized and conveniently accepted by certain sections of the media.
But facts do not change. We do not enter areas we are not meant to. The Kuki Zo people have deliberately kept distance to avoid conflict. And the only time violence truly subsided was when buffer zones were respected. Today, those same lines are being crossed again under the banner of IDP resettlement, even though trust is absent and people are clearly unwilling to live together by force.
So perhaps it is time to stop feeling entitled, stop complaining about consequences, and accept a simple truth. This latest tension is not an accident. It is the direct result of your own choices, once again.

Manipur is still burning and only Political solution can bring lasting peace & not with the show-off visits by central leadership or a religious RSS leader.
Secondly, reiterating what I have been saying-the existing of bufferzone is a reality.
@HMOIndia
Manipur: Remember the laughable โ900 Kuki militants from Myanmarโ lie cooked up by ex-CM @NBirenSingh & later quietly withdrawn? A Meitei-made, Meitei-spread, Meitei-believed propaganda. And now the same script is being replayed again this time on this fake news @VeteranLNSingh.
Manipur : Two years without justice ! How much longer? - cry of Kuki IDPs today. Thousands remain displaced, deprived & forgotten. The silence of the government is deafening. 2 years on& thousands of Kuki IDPs still live in makeshift shelters. Promises were made, none fulfilled.
